Is there evidence that Rei's parents are being held against their will by the crow's associates? One of the lines in the episode seems to hint that her parents did have some bargaining power. The crow said something along the lines of Rei having to go to school because "they" wanted her to do so, which I think refers to her parents. Maybe her parents are actually complicit with the crow's associates.

VROOM 07 - It Has To Be Saturday
This is the first time the Vivid Team really felt like a team. If things were a little less formal, I would've stuck in a roll call, but the Alone don't have the capacity to talk back to them. Also surprised that the ending from last week carried over for more than one episode. I'd gotten used to a new ED per week, so having "Vivid Shining Sky" stick around was an interesting change of pace. But there will be more DVDs to sell with more bonus CDs, so surely there's gotta be at least one more new ending theme on the way. I hope. The scene where everyone was getting Rei to attend their study session was my favorite part of the episode. They were coming on a little strong from her perspective, but it's clear she, on some level, wants a non-bird friend. I'm curious what direction the show is going to take from here on out, and if it really is leading up to Rei becoming a Vivid Black at some point in the future. She only has five feathers/shots/episodes left, so... will all of them end up being used? And when she does, what happens? |

Calling it now: before the show ends, Rei will become Vivid Black and have Akane dock with her to form Vividred (hence the title). Not even the Dreaded Crow-kun can stop the power of girl-on-girl...I mean, female bonding.

 There's a girl sitting on my screen  I loved that part when they tried to recruit Rei-chan for the study session, her outburst at Himawari was so cute  Ah, no wonder why I'm her first friend  Ahem, Rei-chan even studies in her pantsu, good girl I mean, I'm just about tired of all the Rei torture, someone needs to slap that crow around a bit with a huge trout  "Apron", Wakaba you so funny, I'm surprised she's managed to contain herself from assaulting Momo, I figured by now she'd be visiting Akane's house regularly And you, Akane. "Momo's more reliable than Akane", and all you can do is "ehehehe" Loved the scene when Rei-chan found grandpa, I tell everyone here, I'm more afraid of Wakaba's dojo, or suspicious for that matter. How could her house specially have a name for a way to knock out girls? I must learn I mean investigate that move, it is a crime against girls The action at the end was very nice, especially since we haven't had some since a while. Just a little sad though Vivid Green is the least docked, I want to see my green Houki Shinonono again  Oh well, at least I got to see Vivid yellow boobies again! I think that the reason is that Rei is supposedly replacing a girl supposedly in that world. Which also supports that the reason Crow doesn't want Rei to do anything unnecessary was because doing so might put the timeline in a different outcome than what they have planned.
