(L) Aria the Origination

Just listening to the Aria the Origination OST and it's just gotten on to Hirohasi Ryou's song.

God, it's beautiful. Almost as good as Kawai Eri...almost.

I say that with quite a bit of bias, since I don't think any song will ever top cocollo.

Ryou Hirohashi has been perfect in all of the roles she plays, and this one is no exception. Alice has to have the sexiest hands and arms I've ever seen in anime! Awesome episode. This is what a series about nothing should be like! I'll be cherishing Aria while it runs, and cherish it some more by frequent replays. If any brave R1 company should dare, please bring this touching series to North America and fast!

aye, its really *RUST* colored. People lean towards red or orange depending on the metaphor (e.g. romans were all about the war and blood). However.... since this Mars is terraformed --- those colors may no longer seriously apply other than as tradition.

Just done watching episode 10 of ARIA the ORIGINATION ~~~ \(-o-)/

The episode that i'd been waiting for.Aika and Al in the most romantic and intimate situation.Thumbs up to the animators for bringing the best romantic-comedy between Al and Aika inside the well (haha..its funny that they both were stuck inside a well )..i love the BGM so much,the guitar plucks played during the otsukimi (moon viewing) scene,and also the piano instrumental played during Aika-Al scene,it matched the scene perfectly..not to forget the funny scene where President Maa showing her acrobatic skill which amuse me to no end.

Overall,it was an epic,great and romantic episode...i won't give rating lesser than 10 points for this brilliant episode.This isn't like other romantic story from other anime,it has a trademark of ARIA's style combined into it,bringing a new style of what a romantic story should be.It was unique and funny-romantic on its own,perhaps best to say it as "romantic comedy the ARIA's way".

My rating - 10/10

Finished episode 10… ohh it was so cute.

Spoiler for some thoughts on episode 10 (it contains also a comment on episode 09):

I had a really weird feeling watching this episode when the last one was simply amazing. Alice-chan is way too cute and I still can’t believe that days ago she was still training to become a prima. Aika can be cute sometimes when she can’t help her girlish side. The chemistry between Al-kun and Aika had all the comedic and romantic elements of a funny, perhaps a bit strange relationship.

Beautiful episode nonetheless, but I think I missed some important information from the dialogue, so I might rewatch it as soon as I can.

The first thing I thought after last week's episode was that ARIA (anime) had jumped the shark. We're back to "average" ARIA again which actually means "very good".

The Aika-Alice exchanges were very good.

I found the trapped in the well thing more awkward than romantic but then with Aika being somewhat tsundere (with her use of "kinshi" to hide her feelings) and Al being a rather dense type, it perhaps is meant to be dense.

Good stuff anyway and can't wait for the great Akira-sama next week!

Edit: Another thing I felt is that the seasons are being rushed far too quickly. Covering one earth year in 13 episodes is already a little stretch but covering an AQUA year is a little bit over the top imo.

Discussing with a friend of mine about the language of Alice's song (and eventually Athena's songs as well), we speculated that it could actually be Esperanto, which is that artificial/international language that has a vocabulary and grammar rules (writing, pronunciation) that are obtained by a mixture of the indo-european languages (Romance ones, the Anglo-saxon ones etc.). Even the phonetics and pronunciation of Alice's song sound awfully similar (although we could easily dismiss that as the usual bad pronunciation that seiyuus have when it comes to a foreign language ). The second half of her song is in Japanese, though.

Yes, I researched that as well, and I agree with your conclusion. If you look at the printed lyrics that come with the CD, it does indeed seem to be Esperanto. Very interesting choice!
