I did lol when Chelia asked Wendy if she loved Natsu. But in this series the most that can happen is Wendy developing a small school girl crush on him.

As if love between siblings were a lesser form of love? Because Wendy said she admires Natsu as an older brother which, as Sherria points out, is also a form of love.

I'm not bothered by Bluenote getting one-shotted, he was never really that important, just something for Gildartz to do. What I am bothered by is the constant mentioning of getting the guild back together. For the characters the guild has been disbanded for a year, for the readers they've only been separated for like a month or so, it really kills the reader-character connection.

Natsu defeating Blue Note is nothing outstanding since we all knew that it was going to happen, but now I'm more interested about what happened to Gray and Juvia.

... The guild getting back together ... is a great theme.

I don't know why people say that the discrepancy between the month vs. year in the story is supposed to take away from how well it's being shown.

Natsu just essentially recovered and lost the only parent he has ever known...

And now... he also found out that he lost his guild... his only possible remaining family.

He probably feels very lonely... like Lucy... but is ignoring it more because he has Happy...

This was a great chapter and it was nice to see the respect Wendy has for Lucy... and moreover... I liked how Natsu one-shotted the gravity guy. Nicely done.

It was a great chapter with a great ending... my favorite last part... was that we're covering Juvia next... and that she has apparently regressed... this makes me very excited... I have to say...

I mean... a year has passed... and Zeref could be bringing out bigger pawns from his book right about now... or he could be creating other shenanigans... and there could be more happening on the move... seeing how strong Natsu got in one year... I don't see why some of the villains who trained a lot couldn't accomplish the same...

I liked how Wendy's feelings were handled: she already has them sorted out and looks up to Natsu as a big DS bro...and that's pretty cute in its own way.

BN going down was expected, albeit not that fast. Now that they're all groupped up and ready to go, time to explore the mystery that is Juvia...maybe she watched 50 shades of Gray in a demon-slaying obsession, who knows?

I've always seen Wendy as the little sister of the dragon slayers anyway just from what little interaction we've had between her and the others. Kinda reminds me back when she tried to scare someone with her "Gaoooo" back in Edolas and Gajeel was behind her making sure they ran away.

I cant disagree with that stance but i dont quite agree with it. To everybody else Wendy is the little sister of the DS but i think as far as Wendy is concerned she has massive feelings for Natsu and had them from the beginning. besides when she first responded she quickly denied it which if it were animated would be a dead giveaway that she likes the guy.

Wendy's had quite a few WWND moments (What would Natsu do). She feels like she has a version of the naruto Hinata dynamic where she's a shy little girl with very little going for him whose influenced by a strong Male MC. That MC makes her want to be stronger and you can see she's trying to bring more of natsu's characteristics into herself.

(Hm i think i just came up with a new trope "Hinata Syndrome" Shy character influenced by strong male MC to become stronger themselves. Affection sometimes comes with it sometimes doesnt.)

^ I think Mashima recently said on twitter that the next chapter would be a pretty serious one. So I'm not expecting anything silly on Monday. But yeah, as a fan of Gray and Juvia, I'm not worried, at all. The ship will be just fine, no amount of angst will change that.

Azuma didn't just take down the tree, he reversed the magic polarity too, so FT mages were indeed drained of their magic, thus leading to severe exhaustion.

I'd have thought by their last appearance that she and Gray already moved past that.

So they should, but you know how this is gonna go, emo Juvia thinks she's no good for Gray and then Natsu & co have to go find the dude to get them both back in the group...that, or Juvia just watched 50 shades of Gray and it's been raining ever since. To be honest, the two of them didn't really get any sort of closure at the end of Tartaros, facts were just made known and Gray cried a bit...

Don't be surprised if that's all what he has in his mind right now. Avenge dad over and over. That's what I always thought to be Gray's problem. The people that keep sacrificing themselves for him to live on, he's doing the exact opposite and continues to be stuck in the past.

To be fair to Gray, that's actually a pretty realistic reaction considering this is a shounen series.
