I'm waiting for the last of those photo montages showing which movie each episode homaged to be compiled. I want to take a look at just how far the breadth of the creator's choices went. Language and level of artsiness/obscurity clearly weren't barriers.

I liked the fighting.
the ending was kinda nostalgic, oldschool animes used to end with these clips. Funny thing is, this anime has so many characters they had to use the 2 ending themes... and the extended version! so LOL! Well, kinda liked some episodes from this anime but... I'll never recommend to someone. Unless the person loves yuri and moe samurai stuff, ynow. It was fun talking about the episodes with you guys, thank you ^^ |

If you can find someone who's okay with either of those, and is also a lover of classic movies (and some more modern movies, and foreign movies... okay, all movies), then they might be right at home with this. I'd say the film homages were my favorite part of the whole thing. Everything from Back to the Future to Dancer in the Dark was treated with the same level of worthiness, and that in itself is amazing.

They really were having fun making this anime. Man, this anime has a Michael Moore parody, I must respect. |

The full version of Unlucky Girl was nice. I like Ieyasu and the rice girl the most out of the entire cast.
One little quirk that wasn't really resolved was that Nobuna didn't actually get the sandbox girl's treasure because the former was scared away by the crying children. |

I love images like this.
Also looked at the season a little more in depth. Basically covers the same points I did a few days ago, about how there's so much variety and loving care given to each of the movie adaptations, the interconnectedness of the world. It's hard to think of a series that has as many main characters as this one. |

I'm a real sucker for this kind ending that shows off the after story of every character, and the extended ED fits phenomenally well. 10/10
9/10 series wise, this is the kind of odd series that on the first look seems to have nothing going for it, yet every week you always tune in until the finish. |

If they ever re-visit this series at some point, the one thing I'd hope for would be to see a more positive next step in Yoshitsugu's story.
(Even in this extended ending for the series, she was by herself in an empty cinema.) Of course, in real life, not everyone gets to have a happy ending; but even so, I can't help but hope that, tragic as the end of her episode may have been, it would mark a turning point which may one day lead to something better than the life she had up to that point.

Anyway, the ending was nicely done. Though, I'm gonna be honest, I kinda figured that, given the basic theme of the series was "focal character getting used to the modern world," Nobunaga would have eventually ended up staying, and most likely due to Mitsuhide. Also, the random girl appearing out of nowhere was funny, and I loved the inclusion of... Ota, was it? The guy from the first episode. Gives a nice "coming full circle" feeling to the episode. And, like others, I found it hilarious how even the extended version of Unlucky Girl wasn't enough to cover the entire cast montage. A second extended ED is fine, too.
