Thoroughly unimpressive performance by Argentina in the first half. The 1:0 scoreline not really deserved. Especially the offense is working surprisingly anemic. Messi completely invisible save for quite a few turnovers.

So, Bosnia it's playing a lot better than Argentina, who's still on the lead thanks to Romero's saves... I never tought I would say this, but, screw Argentina, go for it, Bosnia!

The fact that Argentina fear Bosnia the same when they fear Bolivia in La Paz is something really weird.

It is quite weird indeed. Nevertheless, all credit to Bosnia for showing no inferiority complex at all in this match.

Meh. Let's talk again about it if Messi does the job against the likes of Germany, Netherlands, Spain or Brazil in a pivotal moment of a high pressure match.

Wow, Argentina is not looking nearly as strong as I had them expected to. I'm very interested to see where Germany stands. Portugal is probably going to be a tough opponent. Then again, I don't follow football regularly and don't know what to expect of individual players, or teams really for that matter.

By the way, what are the general favorites so far for winning the world cup? The Netherlands, Brazil, Italy?

I'm quite annoyed at this argentinian victory, they were such a nullity for at least 70 minutes of the match, then Messi does a single play and ends the whole match....
Bosnia was the better team on the pitch, but wth, that's football, football merits are worth shit, the thing that counts it's who scores more.

Well, what's coming up in Day 5 are 3 games, mainly action from Group G.

Germany and Portugal
Another match up of two European power houses, that'll be fun to watch...

Iran and Nigeria

Ghana and the US to wrap up the day
A Re-match of the Round of 16 match of the 2010 World Cup. This match I'll be watching closely because of the US.

Alright, before any slandering is thrown out there, I'll have you know that I'm not the type who over estimates his own team with an smugged-faced like attitude, spouting things like "they're going to slaughter or murder their opposition". No way.

I watch them on how things go down. In other words, watch the US for their Performance. Sure the US had shown improvements over the past few years. But as far as to win the World Cup this year? I don't think so. Even Jürgen Klinsmann (US Head Coach) said that winning this World Cup is not realistic.

There are still things for the US to learn when it comes to international Soccer/Football. There's also the fact that the sport is not that big in the US, despite the sudden growth. Just barely cracking the Top 5 most popular sports in North America.

It's great to be confident and optimistic, but you have to be realistic as well. From how things look right now for the US, will they get one over Ghana; let alone, get out of the group? I don't know. Despite that they won all 3 games of their Send-Off Series before flying down to Brazil. But that Send-Off series won't be anything near as close to the World Cup.

Here's a reminder of how the US's group looks (Group G):
- Germany
- Portugal
- Ghana
- US

Scary, isn't it?

Even though the US had improved in the past few years, they're not the only ones...

i really hope we beat ghana tomorrow. we've been knocked out of the last two world cups by them.

my analysis of germany and portugal remain the same. portugal's chances of success are directly proportional to how much ronaldo imposes himself on the game. germany needs to figure out if they're going to play a typical powerful and direct game, as they traditionally have, or if they'll go with a more pep-inspired passing game, since so many of the players are coming from bayern.

Speaking of Robin van Persie's "flight" on Friday, there are plenty of memes over the internet according to The Score and certainly many articles worldwide.

One of my favorites is the following (poor Triple H).
