for example,she buy a lot of otaku stuff with her own money,not just beg her parents as teen nowdays...

i thnik kirino have that manners because she was very lonely and she already know that her hobby is weird...

Late voted my top 3:
1. Kuroneko, great character she never failed to amuse and is always cute

; also one of my favorite char of Hanazawa Kana's up there with Sengoku or Touko.

2. Kirino, she was bit more a tsuntsun than even Fumino ever was at parts of the series, but overall I still really enjoyed and liked her character

, plus when she starting about animes/game she looks soooo adorable xD.

3. Kyousuke, No Tomoya, but a very solid male lead from the series, so gets a spot on my favorites still for all he had to deal with

Kuroneko is definetely my favorite character here. She's fun, and cute without even trying (of course, unless she's actually TRYING to be cute with that gothic lolita style, but hey). I also love how soothing she sounds. Her voice just makes me feel relaxed. XD

Second favorite is Saori. She sort of reminds me of Konata, except she doesn't annoy other people that much. I love her "@w@" glasses, too. It's just too funny. :3

I voted for Kuroneko because she's undoubtedly my favourite (for the same reasons mentioned in this thread and everywhere else), but Kirino deserves way more credit than she gets. I don't actually "like" her but I enjoy her character. Unlike otaku girl characters like Haruka Nogizaka, Kirino's (glaring) imperfection in her personality adds a dimension of realism to an almost annoyingly unrealistic premise. I usually don't care for the otaku girl archetype because it's so easy to do it poorly but I think OreImo hits the nail on the head. She does get annoying at times, but it's only reasonable to expect a spoiled teenager to act the way Kirino does, and I'd take her over the moeblob otaku girls any day.

On another note, Saori needs more screentime. She'd definitely be the most interesting character if the story took place IRL. She doesn't play the fujoshi archetype, she's an actual fujoshi :3

I think there's a difference between female otakus and fujoshi.

it's hard to say

First i don't like Kuroneko character.

Don't know why....probably is a sort of negative first impact to me (when i see anime)

Second, i like more Kirino's character design^^

About this series I support "Incest is the best" situation.

I'm not of this idea about all the series....but in this case yes.

Probably i'm happy about the Tsun--->"normal" chance of Kirino, and then, I don't like character that try to ruin my vision of Good ending^^

mmmh I can say that is a very personal favouric character choise, strictly linked to Oreimo plot development.

If we try to move characters in another series, probably i can chance my choice, but in Oreimo story....that's IT

I'd be willing to guess that time of the survey was a factor, since starting on November 12 was only half thru the series roughly before her attitude showed worse in some episodes than others.
