LN editor made him change it, and to be fair it's more logical.

^^^Competition between Kousuke, Yuika and Gaby (Gabriela). Gaby fell for Kousuke after seeing him fight, and we got a Yuika POV chapter where we see she likes him too.

O.o did they? Personally I preferred マジエロ for the kicks and giggles.

Guess the author isn't going to go back and fix the old usages then (it's even in the current arc title).

Imo, the change was probably made because when said verbally, マジエク is a lot easier to say and snappier.
