Original work but ANN's Kougeru's reply may cast some speculations:

Some rumors are saying this anime is based off the song 終わりの世界から (Owari no Sekai Kara) which was a collab song between Jun Maeda and Yanaginagi many years ago.

At least Charlotte had some great character designs, Rewrite was .. not that great, and Angel Beats, while considered somewhat a classic, didn't really have a good second half, just like the last few episodes of Charlotte.

I'll still probably watch it when it comes out

rewrite is done by jc staff plus its all mismatch combine plot of the novel and I will just consider the anime as another route and different from the vn.

Rewrite was animated by 8-bit actually. While Little Busters is by J.C Staff.

oh, sorry, forgot about that part the animation felt the same that I thought jc staff also took it. still, pa works has better animation studio. animation wise.

Yeah, I agree with you overall. Charlotte at least had good character designs. Rewrite was...well what it was. And I really didn't care for the second half of Angel Beats. It stumbled hard after a strong first half.

But hey, this show should look good . And maybe the writing will come through.
