Plot Summary

A mecha otaku is reincarnated into another world as Ernesti Echevalier, also known as Eru. In this world exists huge humanoid weapons known as Silhouette Knights. Dreaming of piloting those robots, Eru, with childhood friends, Archid Walter and Adeltrud Walter, aim to become Knight Runners, pilots of these Silhouette Knights.

Light novel 'Knight's & Magic' is getting a TV anime adaptation.

Hope this isn't a harem because that summary already gave me really bad vibes from this. Just look like another generic LN picked from the sea of stories about "X otaku summoned to another world".

he is no wimp either but his complete attention is focus on Mechs (building/acquiring one). Unlike some of the other isekai/tensei novels the MC has no trouble taking human life if the situation calls for it. However he is completely oblivious to romance.

May I ask if you can explain a bit more about the story itself and the MC? I want to know if its worth watching.

Judging from what I've looked up, it's a boy. Just girly-looking.

Checked the volume before, so I'm not that surprised to see this announcement. That said, I'm already worried this won't get enough budget, because the action scenes are big, in more ways than one.

I also spoke with a source novel reader on the Knights LN forum on how the anime version could go.
They say ideally Vol 5 is the best stopping point, with a 2-cour season (Currently 6 volumes are out). A 1-cour season is possible, but they'd have to cut or simplify a lot of the mecha R&D segments and magitech babble.

Mecha R&D is the main appeal of the early plot (similar to Mahouka's lengthy explanations of technomagic), although there's a good amount of big mech fights too - esp. in Vols 4 & 5.

The technobabble is nothing compared to Mahouka's mindboggling, complex rants, though. The fights were much more interesting to me.

But with the usual academy harem show. This month is different because there are absolutely no LN adaptations airing with the premise of "guy shows up and slowly gathers a harem in a school that develops superpowers". I expect this to go on since Kadokawa started pushing hard on Re:zero.

Uhh, i hope that they actually make the mecha fights look good. If it's cg not done by orange, or if the fights are drawn and animated really badly, then meh.

We have had Mondaijitachi, Game No Life, Outbreak Company, one can even argue that Log Horizon is one disguised as trappedinMMORPG. And more I forgot.
