I wasn't referring to Yozora considering Sena as a friend, I was referring to the reverse - that Sena considered Yozora as someone important to her, and was hurt by Yozora's actions. Yozora, not knowing of her own importance to Sena, did not anticipate that Sena would react in that manner, and felt guilty about it.

In other words, Yozora knew full well that Sena believed her, in spite of the fact that the plan had been discussed before the latter.

Hence what I've said about the error in the system that prevents them from returning to the starting point.

And that this was an exceptional case simply because of the existence of the error, regardless of how short-lived it was.

You're talking about the characters. The story still played that bit for laughs.

I guess it's a good thing they didn't went with the original outfit... Who knows what you'll become after seeing that.

And so what if Sena considers Yozora a friend? Does Yozora suddenly has an obligation to also treat Sena as a friend?

Your 'in other words' does not lead from the previous paragraph. Yozora knows she got Sena, but has nothing to do with any insight into how Sena perceives her.

She only felt guilty/flustered due to the emotional Sena - so it's tiny bit of empathy at a generic level.

So what's the difference between the novel and the anime? I'm quite curious with your post

No, what I was referring to was that Yozora probably felt guilty because she now knew that Sena viewed her as an important person. It is not a normative statement about what Yozora should do or feel, but an observation about what Yozora probably thought.

Sorry, my "in other words" was referring to my previous post, not to the previous paragraph. I should have been clearer on that.

The problem wasn't that Sena bought into the fortune telling. The problem was that she thought Yozora at least knew her well enough to hoodwink her, and that she thought it took some measure of personal knowledge. It didn't. That's what hurt her.

I thought it was Yosora... She's 100% way hotter than Sena in a maid costume...
