There wasn't any hidden meaning in the ADVENTURE, the protagonist travels around all over the world meeting new people and increasing his harem while looking for his first love.
Spoiler:
He's only properly reunited with her in the very end of the first series, although you could see her acting in the shadows for quite a long time.
There's no real need to fuss about her because it's ultimately just a "reason" for the protagonist to travel around the world, in reality he spends 99% of the time sidetracked by being rolled into other incidents so plot-wise her existence honestly isn't too important until the final stages. Expect some pretty extreme twists and turns in the story though. Lots of escalating powerlevels as well. Also...
