Well Girghe is definitely some kind of crazy. Though with the enemy being so powerful they need that kind of insanity in order to survive. He just tore through the enemy ranks. His fake fear did seem pretty fishy, but it's not like there was time to think hard on it. If they didn't move without him there wouldn't have been any chance to do some damage. Maybe Girghe just wanted to kill freely so separated himself from his 'allies'.

Funny how small things can change events. If Sigyn had been a bit louder and able to say what she wanted to would things have changed? Pretty much saying that regardless of circumstances she would have been fine with marrying Rygart. Certainly now she ended up in a position with more authority and resources, but there aren't any romantic feelings with Hodr either.

Some heavy losses in this episode. Can certainly expect even more as time goes on.

This episode sure was action-packed. Great battles as usual.

First a 12-year-old with the body of a 25-year-old, and now a 25-year-old with the body of a 12-year-old. Both of them extremely skilled and possessing incredible stamina. Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not. I still think Cleo, and thereby Nike, are artificially enhanced sorcerer/solider.

I understand why they released Girghe. That guy's as talented as he's crazy. I can't tell if his nervous breakdown was just an act or if he's bipolar. At any rate, he's a double-edged weapon. He's a major asset but his unpredictable behavior is a liablity. Baldr being his father was very unexpected.

The Cleo x Sigyn scenes were adorable. Too bad they killed my yuri fantasies in the egg by revealing Sigyn's in love with Rygart right after (I'm completely disregarding Hodr because he doesn't even sleep in the same room as his wife. Seems like some sort of political marriage to me. Or perhaps HE is the gay one). Nonetheless, I very much enjoyed the first person view flashback with its nice blinking effect. The best scene was this one though:





The scene where she told Rygard she'd stop being upset if he came back alive was very sweet as well.

@ReddyRedWolf, I think Girge reaction was genuine. He got scared of the pincer because of all the unknown factor while he is in more control and was able to assess the situation on the ambush.

Either way it's going to be a long 3 months until the next movie.

This film has been very faithful to the manga source. I really enjoyed the Sigyn flashback on how she wanted for Rygart to have married her but he knew that she deserved a better life. There was some pretty grusome deaths that were animated very well. I thought Tools death was going to be the more graphic but Elsa's death scene was pretty brutal to watch. I liked how they did Nike's introduction with the music they played in the background as she was attacking her own ally. Really enjoyed the emotions that were presented in this film.

Also for those who were wondering, this film manage to cover both vol. 4 and 5 with a bit of a few pages of vol. 6.

What impressed me was the pacing that occurred in the film. The previous three films covered about a volume of material while this film covered around two whole volumes. I am wondering how much the fifth film covered and what is instored for the final film.

Nike...wow, what an evil cutie she is. Too bad she killed one of the important good guys, which means she is going to bite the dust sooner or later.

Mecha action was amazing as always and the story continues to be interesting. Gotta love how Rygart and his Difringe keep getting new weapons, this time he had those throwing daggers and a new shield/ramming device.

And the movie had to end at the worst possible moment: the clash between Girge and Borcuse. WHY

At the same time, Rygart should easily have picked up on the hints. I hate that kind of stuff in animes cuz they seem to happen too often. Grinds my gears). I still wouldn't have let Elsa go in like that, i think it was obvious what the result would be. Sad how she died. Some good action and developments(along with the fanservice lol) in this movie. Oh and Girghe was fukin awesome at the end.

This series is the DBZ of Mecha, isn't it.... but only with superior overall animation effort. That 40 mins just sped past by me. I can't even express it in words how good the placement of these music and the bgm are. I need to wind down.

I think Rygart know about Sigyn feelings , but he prefer Sigyn as Commoner's star of hope than Sigyn as Commoner's wife
