I thought this was rather ridiculous, silly, and somewhat odd.
Health Inspectors Shut Down 7-Year Old Lemonade Stand A 7-year-old Oregon girl's enterprising spirit was snuffed out when county health inspectors shut down her lemonade stand on the grounds that she didn't have a license. More here: http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/i...nd_runs_i.html |

Close encounters of the purred kind: Aliens spoke to us in a 'cat-like language'
claim Russian flight controllers: "Air traffic controllers in Siberia claim they were buzzed by a high-speed UFO with a female sounding alien who spoke in an unintelligible cat-like language. The mystery object suddenly burst onto flight monitors over the remote Russian diamond capital of Yakutsk. It was shown flying at a speed of slightly over 6000 mph, and rapidly changing direction in the early morning sky, it is claimed." See: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...-language.html |

Some Russians are doing all that for years.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBY-0n4esNY I wonder if any of you have come across this vid. It's damn well-done, even as his Israeli origins didn't stop some from checking it out and downloading his special track. One even said that they'll dance to the song once Qaddafi is out.

Indeed, maybe both just to be safe
Honestly, if I were a student at the university, I would be interested in that lesson depending on whether it was useful to a certain topic I was studying or research for an assignment I was carrying out. And I'm not against other students attending the class for whatever reason, and I'm certain the students there were mature about the whole thing considering the uni was meant to focus on controversial subjects. I don't see what the headmaster is so worried about. |

Continued from 'A laugh a day' thread:-
He spent five days, working 12 hours a day, to create the 250 square metre image of the crevasse, which, viewed from the correct angle, appears to be 3D. He then persuaded passers-by to complete the illusion by pretending the gaping hole was real. 'I wanted to play with positives and negatives to encourage people to think twice about everything they see,' he said. 'It was a very scary scene, but when people saw it they had great fun playing on it and pretending to fall into the earth. 'I like to think that later, when they returned home, they might reflect more on what a frightening scenario it was and say, "Wow, that was actually pretty scary." The picture appeared on the East Pier in Dun Laoghaire , Ireland , as part of the town's Festival of World Cultures. Mueller, who has previously painted a giant waterfall in Canada, said he was Inspired by the British 'Pavement Picasso' Julian Beever, whose dramatic but More gentle 3D street images have been featured in the Daily Mail. This guy is amazing no matter how you look at it! |

These are not elementary school kids (not that that would bother me hugely either - they'd just laugh). They are *ADULTS* by almost any definition of the word outside of the delusional dreams of soccer-moms. Psychology is about examining what makes people tick. What arouses them is part of that (human sexuality). My wife took the course way back in the late 70s for one of her 'core studies' in college -- back then they had porn films, sex toys, and lectureQ&A with transgender, prostitutes, and wide variety of the sexual spectrum.

Here in Brazil we have some low quality local news programs that are always interviewing random criminals that are arrested by the police (but just small criminals, they are not major news shows so they don't get anyone relevant to interview).
I've found that people are trolling around journalists from theses programs sending e-mails saying "oh, I know this guy, he works for a gang leader called [putt a random anime character here]". And then, on air, the journalists (who are absotulety silly) starts asking if the interviewer know these people, like "We have information here saying that you work for Deidara, is that true?", "Do you know Kuririn?" or "Do you know Majunbu?" or "Do you know the travesti She-ra?" (search for "travesti" on Wikipedia if you don't know what this means). Here's some videos. It's is portuguese, so you may not understand them, but I think you can guess when they are asking the questions. It's funny how they read the name completely wrong. Do you know Tenshinhan, Piccolo, She-ra, Deidara, Gaara e Jiraiya? www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcD4rJINW0Q Do you know Goku, Majinbu, Gohan? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sc2DZlLmcDI Do you know Dabura, Kuririn? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kD8s9aMeAvo

30+ Computer Viruses Anthropomorphized as Girls
"The Japanese publisher Sansai Books is releasing a personal computer book called
Kawaii Security on March 14. The book uses illustrations and manga to profile computer viruses and other topics in computer security. In particular, the book anthropomorphizes over 30 viruses that have infected the computer world since the 1980s — as bishōjo (pretty girl) characters."
