People were saying this arc was rage inducing, and it seems like they were right. Argh.

There's a serious flaw in Naomi's cunning plan: People are going to be far more interested in finding out who put the camera there, than why Haru was in the girls changing room. Chiyu can also make up any excuse for Haru; that original footage doesn't show anything other than him entering. And last but not least he just admitted to two people he was the one who put the camera there!

I also didn't like Chiyu's sudden chickification, she's no wall flower.

If they want Naomi to be a hated character, they've succeeded by miles. This is the first time I've felt such intense emotions towards an Accel World Character - before that, it was Nico and KYH's interactions that felt like the strongest dynamics so far.

I would normally agree with you concerning this assessment, and while most rational thinking people would come to the same conclusion, for some reason, shows tend to put the Japanese school administration in a low light. For one thing, they will automatically suspend Haru no matter the circumstances just for entering the girl's locker room, stating that he should have notified a teacher. As for finding out the true culprit, I think that they will prioritize to reduce the embarrassment for the school first and put the blame on whoever is most convenient in order to subdue the scandal. Also, they might try to sweep it under the rug afterwards and may never try to find the true culprit.

However, without a doubt, KYH will counterattack in whichever way possible. He definitely underestimated her and is probably full of himself. Then again, he might not know that Haru is close with KYH or that KYH is Black Lotus. It seems like it is easier to figure out who Silver Crow is than to figure out who Black Lotus is.

He also hinted that he knew that Taku was a burst linker, by comparing what he did with what Taku did in the previous school. Instead of just choosing this school by random in order to steal burst points, with the fact that he researched Taku and Haru, it definitely seems targeted. I wonder if he is spy/scout for another king?

I agree with you that his brother probably failed at something, and he is probably doing what he is doing in order to compensate for it. It would be too random to have the brother element introduced and not dwelve further into it.

Based on my (long ago) memories of high school, that seems pretty much spot on for school administration's attitudes towards things.

I'm dealing with the rage by imagining we're looking forward to a KYH executed curbstomp-corpse-camped-forced-uninstall. If he runs off and jumps off the school roof in grief at losing his precious brain burst, so much the better.

We can only hope.

Nomi seems to be using physical burst.
Taku was down about loosing to Nomi just 'cause he played fair.
Abusing that power is against the rules, but... it's also very tempting.
Haru's little detective play just got him played by Nomi and in trouble in girl's showers LOL

IMO he was bluffing about uploading the video. Seeing how meticulous he was at setting up traps (or so he says) indicates that mentally, he's much older than his appearance.
Noumi knows that Haru/Silver Crow and Chiyu/Lime Bell are still new at Brain Burst, so he used that to his advantage and blackmailed them.

Finally new OP and ED. They're nice but not as good as the first set. The best things in the new OP are the new characters and Ash Roller + Silver Crow (lol!), and the new ED is just... does she actually have self-conflict? That's quite weird but I like it for some reason... getting jelly of yourself eh?!

Noumi is not evil, he's simply gross. But the situation becomes so serious it is kinda funny... the really rage inducing thing is how Chiyu didn't really resist Noumi. Going with Noumi's flow is probably the worst thing you can do.

As for the episode, the only thing I can think of for why KYH used Physical Full Burst instead of just Physical Burst is because of the timing. Physical Burst is done for 3 seconds, while Physical Full Burst is almost instantaneous. 3 seconds with the car incoming would have probably meant the end for both Haru and KYH back then. Or maybe it was because she was already in Burst Link mode and cannot do Physical Burst in that mode? Either way, I felt she should have been able to move out of the way safely back then.

Also, since this school is a 3 year middle school (Nomi's brother is 3 years older and graduated), doesn't that mean that KYH might graduate soon. I wonder what will Haru do without KYH? That means that I guess the story will have to finish within 1 year in story time. It would seem so unlikely for Haru to reach level 9 by then.

Also, I'm going to guess that Silver Crow will lose to Nomi's avatar. However, since they are in a direct link cable, couldn't Nomi continuously Burst Link Haru before he has a chance to escape?

Noumi is pretty infuriating to watch this episode, but not enough to turn a thread into a 4chan "hurr I rage" thread for an entire week. You'd think people had never seen a smug antagonist like this before or something. Going to think of something to actually add to the conversation when I get back to work tonight if there even is a conversation to be had out of this.
