The 37th has to stay in Madagascar until the Norn gets back for round two, so they don't have a lot to do. More importantly, Myonri appears again! Also, we are introduced to a new 37th soldier, Elfily Classic, a member of the intelligence division and as Quenser and Frolaytia said, a Class Representative type. Quenser gets to watch Skuld's interrogation, where she mentions quite a few things, like that she and the other two Norn's Elites are sisters, that each one has a different configuration of the Norn, with the one we saw in C2 being Urd's and that the three Elites are specialists on getting their soldiers frenzied like berserkers. A large swarm of bugs shows up at the end of part 4. Since I hate bugs that would be one of my worst nightmares.

Spoiler for HO EX C3 Parts 5-7:

Quenser, Frolaytia and Elfily are forced to release the Faith Organization prisoners and cooperate to survive the swarm of bugs. Besides Skuld, we're also introduced to one of the FO soldiers, Eric Kingsvalley. Heivia got stuck with the maintenance crew on the Baby Magnum hangar, and their attempt to take out the bugs nearly kills Quenser and the others because of other soldiers using improvised flamethrowers. But Quenser manages to survive their escape to a sturdier building thanks to Eric, and in return he keeps Elfily from closing the building's door while there were some prisoners left outside.

This is being a really disturbing chapter for people who hate insects like me, the idea of a swarm of bugs that big gives me the creeps.

so after episode 22 i made the plunge into the LN with v4 and i'm loving it. the part where havia punched quenser the day after froleytia got drunk had me laughing like an idiot. but i have a question. this hyena group, was it something that wasn't covered in the anime or something that comes up later due to the episodic nature of the light novels

Hyena is just the group of pirates that the 37th was sent to deal with in V4C1, I don't think they have appeared or been mentioned outside of that volume.

okay then. it was sounding like they showed before but i'm glad to know otherwise. on another note thanks for helping me out with these kamachi works! his protags and zaney plots are so good i actually care about that more than the shipping (and i know it serves for comedy, but seriously he's going to need to have milanda be more fleshed out if kamachi's going to push her. she just lacks presence compared to froylatia). which is always a good sign.

Just wait, HO early volumes are nothing compared to some of the crazy stuff that happens in later volumes, where Kamachi is more comfortable with the series and has a clear idea of what he wants to write. Though V4 still has my favorite Object in the series.

I agree with you that with Kamachi's works shipping ends up being secondary to the crazy plots and awesome protagonists and side characters. Though I wouldn't say not to a bit more romance in his novels beyond the usual romcom and harem hijinks he uses.

Another Norse Mythology reference with Draupnir, I didn't expect that the crickets would be a Faith Organization food project. It's really interesting that after using this subject in volume 10 for a quick comedy scene Kamachi then used it as the threat of this chapter. Fortunately, thanks to Skuld and Eric giving Quenser the info he needed, the 37th and the prisoners survive the swarm of bugs. I like Skuld and Eric, it's nice that the Faith Organization is getting more characters. Also, apparently Eric is part of the berserkers Skuld mentioned during her interrogation.

Pretty sure you're mistaking it for some other Object, the Oceanic Driver was mentioned for the first time in vol 11.

Anyway I was laughing hard at Azureyfear's reaction when her plans: thousands of subs, drug wars, and the fastest goddamn object, was trampled by a DICK... Almost Literally!

While ignoring the deadliest most likely person who can kill him just by being at his goddamn side while pointing her main cannons at him like battleship cannons to a tiny ant... And he has the balls to mess with her AFTER confessing to her...

I have no words to describe the Idiocy...
