He's the one who made her go through the whole pointless thing where she was going to be the fall maiden that was never going to achieve anything, remember?
Also, I wouldn't call "going out of your way to fight someone you can't possibly beat and only get yourself pointlessly killed without achieving a single thing when you could have been alive to help someone else elsewhere" very heroic. It's stupid. Also, I gotta love how apparently there are people seem to equate "Ozpin should stop being such a lying scumbag who uses and discards people like it's nothing and never takes responsibility for his own failings." to "It's wrong to fight Salem". |

What the hell are you talking about? Salem wants to destroy humanity. Therefore, opposing her means saving humanity. Ozpin died fighting Cinder. It was Pyrrha's choice to go back and fight her instead of running away, which she could have very well done.

Does that have anything to do with Pyrrha's death? Ozpin told her to run away from Cinder. She did the opposite. And he is the one to be blamed??? Quote:
Using that logic then everyone else should also be blamed for Pyrrha's death.

That would explain Jaune grabbing Oscar by the neck in the opening, He definly going to mad once he learned the truth. Since Ozpin was based on the wizard of Oz character in the book, His shady nature will come to light.

No I'm saying it was lame of him to die fighting against a minion. And this is the dude who suppose to be leading the fight against Salem.
Don't even get me started on the absurd idea of his "reincarnation" on Oscar's body. That sounds more like a possession than a reincarnation.

Cinder had the full power of a maiden and Ozpin's magic's was running dry. Not that it matters much since Ozpin will just reincarnate.

Needless to say, telling me stuff I already know does not convince me that all of this would still have gone down this way if Ozpin didn't pressure her into this fall maiden business to suit his own selfish needs in the first place. The guy apparently developed some kind of hardon for looking like he's in control when in reality he never was. And he lies and deceives to make sure people don't find out. And you know what, I don't actually think he's a scumbag or anything. He's human. He makes human mistakes. He means well. He obviously does want to make sure everything's going to turn out alright. But his (scarred) ego is getting in the way of this. I don't hate the guy, and I want the rest of the party to eventually understand and forgive him. I'm just going agains this weird notion that he never, ever, did a single thing wrong. Or that the party is in no way justified in their anger. They had to waste a question just to get the truth he could have just told them about in the first place. |

Ozpin never attempted to "look" like he was in control. His efforts were always directed towards thwarting Salem's plot to destroy humanity.

I am with Oz on this one. "Follow my lead kids, I don't know what I am doing and we all will die by terrible death. And by we I mean you because I will just reincarnate anyway.
Not sure how many people would want fight his battle if he he spilled beans...

How does he not have a plan? He had centuries and ask to the Jinn to build a plan.
As for Nikos, I think Oz knew enough about her psychology to know if offered the power and push came to shove. She would always take the power. As soon as Nikos knew about the option the choice was made. Still Nikos would be alive and Cinder dead if Jaune had you know done his job and watched for intruders. |

Episode 5.
NEO. IS. ALIVE. BITCHES. Awesome fight that ended too early. Yang still has PTSD. Would have been an awesome moment if she didn't look insulted when Blake said she'd protect her this time. Generally speaking we got some nice partner moments this episode but that locked cellar. We going Resident Evil now.

It's been suggested elsewhere that, given that everyone died in their sleep, the fact that Weiss and Yang (the two who found the bodies) are both acting somewhat odd and talking about how tired they are may not be a good sign.
Also, ye gods, that cellar. Get the hell out of there now kids.
