Pyrrha never became the Fall maiden and it didn't kill her. Cinder did because she chose to go back and face her instead of running away.

What the hell are you talking about? Salem wants to destroy humanity. Therefore, opposing her means saving humanity.

Ozpin died fighting Cinder. It was Pyrrha's choice to go back and fight her instead of running away, which she could have very well done.

Thank you for assuming I am so goddamn retarded that I don't know what happened in a show I watch, and therefore feel the need to explain to me things I already know thank you very much.

Needless to say, telling me stuff I already know does not convince me that all of this would still have gone down this way if Ozpin didn't pressure her into this fall maiden business to suit his own selfish needs in the first place.

And you know what, I don't actually think he's a scumbag or anything. He's human. He makes human mistakes. He means well. He obviously does want to make sure everything's going to turn out alright. But his (scarred) ego is getting in the way of this. I don't hate the guy, and I want the rest of the party to eventually understand and forgive him. I'm just going agains this weird notion that he never, ever, did a single thing wrong. Or that the party is in no way justified in their anger. They had to waste a question just to get the truth he could have just told them about in the first place.

I honestly thought you were, but this cinches it. How did Ozpin pressure her? He explained the circumstances and ASKED for her help, explaining the risks and giving her the choice to refuse. Not wanting the maiden's power to fall into enemy hands was anything but selfish. The only relation this had to do with her death was that it placed her in a position close enough to the heart of the crisis where she was able to make the choice to fight Cinder. When the transfer failed, Ozpin explicitly told her and Jaune to flee and inform Qrow, Ironwood, and Glynda. How was it his fault that she chose to return and fight?

Ozpin never attempted to "look" like he was in control. His efforts were always directed towards thwarting Salem's plot to destroy humanity.

As for Nikos, I think Oz knew enough about her psychology to know if offered the power and push came to shove. She would always take the power. As soon as Nikos knew about the option the choice was made.

Still Nikos would be alive and Cinder dead if Jaune had you know done his job and watched for intruders.

Qrow and Yang are the only ones actually angry. The others seem more shocked and depressed if anything.
