i also remembered a tactic when they boarded the mothership.

a team of elite commandos can take out an entire base with a well executed plan. but as far as they've done, the dogs sent an entire company to take it out.

How far is the manga compared to the novels? I was thinking of picking those up instead of reading the novels because I read SOOOOO slow.

Manga is presently at vol.07 which is the start of vol.04 in light novel which is also the start of the present anime arc.
The light novel is up to vol.14.

Although the subs are supposed to make things easier to understand it created some confusion in me about this episode less than before but still some. There were some funny puns like......Manami saying this.......made me "Yeah that's right Manami, pretty that's it!"
