one of my best was a furion with thirst, greater bash, curse of avernus and shadow dance.

man I never really realized how broken I picked it. I just wanted the thirst and shadow dance for mobility, then I picked up bash cause its great on a ranged hero and then the curse for slow.

it was only then during the game I remembered that greater bash damage is dependent on your movespeed.
imagine your bash doing 500 damage

Just look at Slardar! Some time ago he had to use mana for both blink dagger AND sprint, and now he only needs mana for his armor reduction ulti and his stun.

Yeah because of this, a lot of hero's reliant on mana boots and blink will be able to just go brown boots then rush blink. Will notice it a lot in pro games in about a month time. Tide, Sladar and Earth shaker very likely to be used a lot more.

So it looks like after all this long time waiting and whining on this thread about TB not being released in dota 2, now valve has rewarded my patience by really showing some major love for this hero. The new Arcana gear for TB is amazing.

This item includes custom upgrades to these features:
Socketed with a gem that tints the coloring of Terrorblade and all of his abilities
New base skin & model with special ambient effects
New spell effects and icons
Several new animations
Altered voice
New Hero icon, portrait, loadout pose & minimap icon
Custom death effect for Terrorblade's victims
Custom death and respawn music

The bad part is that it costs $35.

Phoenix on the other hand, gonna change the meta once it gets tossed into CM.

I agree he needs to baby sat in lane for a bit longer then most carry hero's being played in competitive scene now. But after a while if he goes radiance into manta, his pushing power in demon form is insane. Then he gets skadi its a nightmare Will have to wait and see.

I can see Phoenix being one of the most used offlaner's soon, his escape and AS slow is just so good against carry's.

lvl.2 terrorblade + 1 hero could first blood easily with metamorphosis and conjure image.
and 80 base damage is very high. the only problem with him is HP, so crispy.
and the solution of that little hp is SUNDER.
its not the hero who is a garbage, its ur skill.

Was about to say something similar haha. I've gotten numerous early kills with TB. I even think he's OP with metamorph and images.

Phoenix on the other hand...I like, but the CDs drive me nuts. If your shots don't help end the fight, you're basically no good until after due to the long azz CDs

If you go meta plus reflection during the early levels you can easily get first blood and keep most enemy heroes on your lane at bay while you basically free farm. I almost always win with TB. The only time I lose is against organized teams that aim to win in the first 25 min game play with early pushers and casters.

However, the moment I get my hands on manta and boots of travel the enemy can kiss those towers good bye. Later down the line I get linkens, eye, butterfly deadalus or radiance.

I used to play a decent jungle-TB years ago in WC3 Dota, going:

1 image -> 2 meta -> 3 meta -> 4 stats -> 5 meta -> 6 sunder -> 7 meta -> 8 stats -> 9 stats -> 10 stats -> 11 sunder -> (max image, sunder, stats)

This was a very risky build because I would often be going around with sub-100 HP, but TB gets a huge power spike after S&Y.

Nowadays, this build doesn't seem to work anymore because opposing teams are much better at warding the jungle and they push down towers very fast before I can even farm up an S&Y.

Now the item that is a must get for tb regardless of the build is manta. Thats the very first thing i go for. It seems manta give tb an unfair pushing and damage advantage. Enemies are easily intimated when they say a 5 meta tbs heading towards them or a tower. Usually when tb does a manta push the whole enemy team is forced to defend. Unlike a furion or spider push. It wouldnt surprice me if manta was nerfed on tb like it was on wc3.

Also, i always go for linkens over bkb. I consider bkb to be a waste on him, it doesnt scale well with his images, only the hp boost does. If people are worried about the lack of escape mechism on him consider enhancing his strengths, such as his movement speed, high armor and illusions. All of which are adressed by agility items, ultimate orbs, sange, and boots of travel.

Anyone reach Rank A on the Battle of the Beast event using 2.5k flame ingots? We almost had 5mil but were left at 4.9 mil cuz time ran out for 1500 jade tokens. Curious to know how much jade is Rank A

Have you been playing non-stop? One regular match takes 30-45 min depending on the team = about 100ish jade (with jade favor). Teach me your ways!

Not at all I played it when it first came out and the teams I was with used certain methods. Also I was traded 1 of the bloom bounty's for Morcant.

To the above TB users- if you sneeze on a TB he dies, it's pretty damn easy to kill him. I never play TB, I play mid mostly.

And I laugh at TB all the way to the bank every time I see one.

Also, look at the dota1 competitive scene before you talk- TB is rarely picked, much like dusa, because he's shit without farm. With farm, he's one of the best splitpusher, but without it, he's a glass cannon with no escape. Sunder is a joke when you just need one stun to drop him 100-0.

Let me say this again: TB's garbage, Phoenix will be FPFB material when he enters CM.

As for getting FB on TB. It happens sometimes with a solo offlaner getting caught out of position, but a dual vs dual lane should be even.

for you, TB needs farm and he is a hard carry so he is garbage? so medusa, anti-mage, spectre, faceless void, gyrocopter is garbage? they are PRETTY EASY to kill early-mid game so they are garbage?

and you are so funny dude saying TB is need farm and shit while on the other hand in most of my TB game, im already killing stuff in early and mid game with slow and metamorph

you said you can just stun stun stun stun TB and then he dies? yeah that works on every hero, goodluck stun him alone and get raped by his teammates. and more importantly, if enemy team has so many stun, you can JUST DONT PICK TB.

TB is easy to die so he is garbage? no, you are easy to die so your skill is garbage

TB just like Anti-mage are heroes that require a little more experience than most, if you are to survive till late game.
