Naruto Questions

ok...i really need to know
how can you tell the elemental differences in jutsus in Naruto?
Like Kakashe uses a ground Jutsu on Sasuke during their first test as genin....but doesn't mean that he's using like the gorund or sand element does it?
AAAhhhh im so confused, will someone please explain this to me?

Firstly, this really should have been in the Naruto Q&A thread.

Secondly, welcome to the forums.

Jutsus seem to be very loosely based on the traditional five Japanese elements (there are fire, water, earth, wind, which Kishimoto would use as lightning).

I can see how Gaara's sand techniques might be confusing (are they earth or wind?) but in this case they are wind-based.

How can you tell? Um...you just do, or if you don't you just guess.

Check the filler discussion thread for that information:
http://forums.animesuki.com/showthre...=30273&page=13
And to quote myself on the matter:

We know the title of episode 188
不可解 狙われた行商人
Fukakai, Nerawareta Gyoushoujin
And that seems to be one more filler. Maybe they are attempting to outfiller Inuyasha, and sad enough, they might really suceed.

Huh, that’s a interesting point, I never really though about in what area Gaara Jutsu belongs to, now are you sure that it is wind based?, I ask it because normally when they do the Jutsu they sort of mention to the element its belong.

He's assuming it's wind based because he's from wind country, and supposedly shukaku is a wind priest turned demon. I guess it makes sense that he be using wind. However, I don't think they are capable of elemental damage unless it's explicitly stated what element they are in the attack (Katon, Doton, Suiton, etc)

Gaara’s jutsu is probably a combination of both wind and earth elements. I’m sure that different elements can be mixed if done appropriately.

Kusanagi-no-tsurugi (Japanese: 草薙の剣) is a legendary Japanese sword as important to Japan's history as Excalibur is to Britain's. It is actually called Ame no Murakumo no Tsurugi (天叢雲剣, lit. "Sword of gathering clouds of heaven") but it is more popularly called Kusanagi (lit. "grasscutter" or more probably "sword of snake"). It may also be called Tsumugari no Tachi (都牟刈の太刀). The actual Kusanagi, if it exists, is likely to be a sword in the style of the bronze age which is typically double-edged, short and straight; very different from the more recent katana backsword style, which features typical curved single-edged blades.
Iono if that helps but it appears Orochimaru and Sasuke both have one since Sasuke's seems more black.

I'm not surprised they both have one, but I am disappointed that it doesn't come out of Sasuke's mouth.

A possible reason that it comes out of Orochimaru's mouth is that according to legend, the hachibi (snake-based monster) kept the sword of kusanagi in his belly. There is certainly reason to suspect that Orochimaru is somehow connected to hachibi (possibly its jinchuuriki), but that would most likely not be the case with Sasuke.

Here's one: where is PTJ Ino's headband? She used to wear it round her waist, but I don't see it on her at all PTJ...

You mean the big scroll in his back? I think it is the journal for his novel. nothing has been really said about it.

A03, I though about that too, but The frog Summon Scroll was presented to Naruto by a Frog that Jiraya summoned, I think those are different scroll

I guess this is why he asked.

The Kusanagi is a unique item which currently belongs to Orochimaru. It was said in the Orochimaru vs Sandaime fight that there's no weapon as strong as that. It is supposed to be unbreakable and can pierce through almost anything. Till now the objects that could stand it were Enma in his special staff form which was said to be strong as a diamond but still being in pain from Kusanagi's hits and recently in the manga

Hahahah, I getting old.

Given Ino’s small appearance in Naruto PTJ, I will guess is just a Fashion trend. Nothing more nothing less.
