I was free this afternoon so I ended up playing and the factor that makes it impossible to continue is that you sometimes have several nodes of the same class very close to each other, so I exhaust the servants from the opposite class and then I'm stuck. 15 or so floors seem to be my limit in one go. I'm doing the back alley fights as they unlock though, maybe I shouldn't?

Anyway, even if I had a bigger roster, I would still end up stopping around that point, because I would get exhausted first. I'm finding the entire thing very tedious. It feels like I'm working rather than playing a game...

Most of the nodes are so weak that as long as your Servant is like level 70 you can just bum-rush it without class advantage. Especially if you have one of the damage CE's attached.

Got Nero Bride in 4 tickets. But I wanted her at NP2 like her Caster version and that required 3 multis. Pretty damn good. I'm all out of cards and phoenix feathers to ascend her though, but I should get some through the event. I'm going to try to be patient and not waste pure prisms on material I can easily farm. Only using them for super rare stuff like Eggs.

Now I'm only missing the original Nero to complete the holy umu trinity.

It takes longer that way though. I prefer to just nuke them on the first turn with a Kaleidoscope. I should be able to complete the event just fine, but probably not the bonus tower.

Finished the first Lostbelt. That was really good. It was pretty unexpected for Avicebron to be the main servant of the story, and for him to redeem himself for his actions in Apocrypha. Atalante on the other hand still let herself be guided by emotion rather than rationality and duty, but unlike Avicebron she didn't have access to the records of Apocrypha. Billy and Beowulf were both cooler than in America. Salieri ended up being a more compelling character than I initially expected. Musashi was still great. I think that about covers it for the servants.

As for non-servant allies, there was only Patxi, who was a well written character. He made plenty of wrong decisions along the way but he went out doing what he believed was right.

The enemies... didn't learn anything new about Koyanskaya. Was spoiled about Kotomine being Rasputin and not Macarius as he claimed but I guess the real twist is that he is actually Kirei. Not too big a twist with precedents like Waver though, but Kotomine is my favorite villain in the franchise so I'm elated to have him be part of the story. Ivan definitely deserved to be called a monster. Anastasia was the cute and tragic type, don't really have much to say about her. Was surprised Kadoc got to live and I'm looking forward to what kind of role he'll play in the future... though I have a feeling he'll just end up in jail.

The thing I liked the most about this Lostbelt and which will apply to all of part 2 is the moral dilemma it introduces. Part 1 was fairly black and white: Solomon/Goetia bad, Chaldea good. At no point did the main characters have to question whether they were doing the right thing. But now? Restoring Proper Human History requires erasing seven other alternate timelines from existence. The choice was "easy" with this Lostbelt because it was a complete shithole, but some of them might be utopias. That would make it harder to justify genocide. It's still right for Chaldea to fight for their history, but the matter is nowhere as simple as it used to be.

One last word: Ortinax is a complete downgrade. The loss of damage cut and targeted invincibility is a huge blow. Mash will only be good to tank ST NPs, she was far more versatile before.

I guess I should say something about the fights too. Fairly easy for the most part. Was glad I got Jack for Valentine because she absolutely destroyed Ivan. Cu alter is also still great, was the last man standing against the tree (I hate those AOE enemies) and got rid of its last 50k HP in one turn. I actually thought I was going to have to use command spells, which I wouldn't have minded since it was the last fight anyway.

I'll take a long break now. Been spending most of my time on FGO for the past two weeks and a half, I'm burned out. Besides, RE4R is coming and I have a lot of other games and movies on my backlog. I'll still try to keep up with the events though.

For what it's worth, Ortinax is a massive downgrade in story as well. Unfortunately it never really gets fixed and most people never use it outside of forced story events. We get her original move set back again eventually though

We do? Thank the goddess! It's been a massive pain effectively having one less useful servant on my team. Either that or I fully take Mash out and then I'm juggling lower tier servants and CEs to fit into the limit.

Yep, and it comes with her limit-breaking to.....I think 96? It's a weird number but I'll take it. It doesnt happen till Lostbelt 6 though

Yeah it'll still be a while.

Happy to learn she gets her original moveset back (I guess people complained enough?). Will have to go through 4 more Lostbelts with Ortinax though... not looking forward to it.

So she can use the Black Barrel on the Alien God, and later on ORT. It's built into the Ortinax system so she has to swap back for that i believe.

5 star Alter Ego Larva/Tiamat for Arcade collab next month. Old welfares are able to be obtainable, starting with Shuten Quetz and Kintoki for the first batch. Also going to be a new Class Score system whatever that is.

Still haven't touched the event. 3 weeks event really makes me slack off so much that I just procrastinate during the last week.

New system to bring back old welfares is here. With that, I finally have the coins to unlock rider Kintoki appends and now to wait for to gather enough leaves for other welfares. Nobunaga is one I'm looking forward to since she's NP1. I didn't get her other copies because it was a time where I didn't feel like playing the game much.

New shop section that sells welfares, NP copies and their coins for leaves. Currently, they're obtainable by doing the 3 daily missions and doing Part 1 chapters. There are limited campaigns for bonus logins, we'll have to see if there are more ways to obtain them.

Thanks. Since the main way to get them is doing part 1 chapters, I guess it's meant to help new players first and foremost.
