Until you added the Parona is revived part, I thought that suggestion was going somewhere very different, lol.

That church needs to suffer a lot...

It really makes me mad that all protagonists fall for the churchs words.

Poor Kahaku. The dude got rejected because of something that his grandgrandgrandgrandgrandmother did to one of Fushi's friends.

Now things really escalated with how Fushi is constantly being incinerated.

I wonder why Fushi is starting to get sick. The black one said his body isn't getting what it needs. But what is it Fushi needs? Why is this suddenly happening to him after hundreds of years? Pretty sure this is linked to Fushi now being able to perceive love/affection as some kind of floating cotton balls and absorbing that. But I can't figure it out.

Despite his expression and his tone not changing, Black acted damn smug during the entire conversation with Fushi. Like he thinks he deserves what's happening to him.

It doesn't really help that he looks so much like her and even has the same voice.

It'd be funny if in the next episode we find that they buried the iron block and society forgot about it until archaeologists doing a dig discover it and (for whatever reason) break it open. Fushi finds himself in a Star Trek type time period and the show becomes sci-fi lol

.
I would be more sympathetic towards him if he hadn't acted so creepy and pushy during his confession.

Yes, and most of the time building up to it too.

Interesting that the body will have its own physiological reactions despite Fushi being the "pilot."

Pretty messed up considering how Parona was killed. There will be no Fushi-Parona pairing with this guy or his descendants.

I'm reminded of the fact that Parona use to make dolls for March, to be a part of her "family".

Sigh… I got my hopes up at the end since it seems that was fushi flying but the preview of the next chapter destroyed that hope.

The church needs to pay.

I'm pretty sure he was just referring to Fushi's lack of oxygen at that moment, since he'd just used a bunch of fire which consumes oxygen to burn in a confined space.

Same here. Seeing the bird and them cutting the episode right when the rope was cut, I was sure Fushi would rescue him. And then the preview reminded me of the reality which is that almost no one gets happy endings in this series.

I saw Bon as a good but very self-centered man, but his final acts were completely selfless and quite brave. He could have easily saved his own skin by renouncing Fushi. Fushi wouldn't have minded, he even told him so. Instead, he made up a story so that they would leave his family alone and stuck by Fushi, knowing full well it would get him executed. This episode really made me love him.

Sadly, he never got the opportunity to tell Fushi he could bring (some) of the dead back, but Fushi will obviously figure it out at some point. I'm pretty sure the ED shows the spirits who stick/will stick by his side, and Bon is among them so high chances he'll come back. He needs to find out Todo was the pretty girl he met back then too.

He started getting sick before that though.

Does the Uralis kingdom have any sort of military power I wonder? If so, executing one of their princes may have repercussions for the church. I never really cared for Bon's character, but at least he redeemed himself at the end there. Being able to see the dead would be comforting; at least he knows when he's executed there is something after.

It'd be nice if the church people meet their end, but I have a feeling we won't get that catharsis.

.
The church seems to hold some sway with the public though so even if the Kingdom could go after them, it probably wouldn't be a wise idea to do so

I don't think he was actually sick though, just confused and disoriented.

A Koyasu character who wasn't that evil after all. He wanted to redeem himself with his last action instead. At this point, I wonder if even the Beholder might become more human as he already stopped being only the narrator as he was more present when poor Fushi was being incenerated. Still, man it's a shame about the animation.

Yeah it caught me by surprise but a good one, you can't ask for a better solution in that case.

So we finally find out the Nokker's goal and it's to essentially free people's souls by destroying their flesh prisons. They are also aware of Fushi's ability to resurect the dead, something Fushi himself isn't aware of yet.

I wonder why Bon decided to delay telling him even though he liked his answer.

The preview says Fushi loses quite a few of his vessels during the fight against the Nokkers, it would be quite the tragedy if he lost March, Gugu, or Toneri permanently.
