Looks like they got rid of the boss fights entirely.

2B and 9S split up looking for Jackass in the Flooded City for a possible lead on A2, which 9S uses he opportunity to hack into the Bunker for classified info. 9S thinks it was A2, but I'm pretty sure it's Adam.

If that is the case, then that means the giant machine boss fight is gone and we're going into the Copied City soon.

Of course there's another indefinite hiatus right when it looks like they're possibly going anime original. I'm not sure it's a simple matter of skipping content, here. The room with the drawings (made by the seiyuus by the way) was entirely new.

I got my hopes up we were going to see 2B's bare legs and feet during that one scene, but she goes into the water with her boots on. THEY HAD ONE JOB!

They found a lunar tear and the Emilmobile still didn't show up so I guess he doesn't exist in the anime. I wonder if there's meaning behind 2B wearing it and Kainé's theme playing when she removed her blindfold.

I don't believe they're going anime original just yet.

Spoiler for Speculation based upon game content:

The way I see it, Adam is kidnapping 9S like in the games, but since there was no Goliath, alien base, or crater formation in the middle of the City Ruins, the Copied City will be linked to the Flooded City instead.

Then 2B goes to rescue 9S, fights Adam who willingly disconnected from the Machine Network, then Eve hunts them down for revenge and we're on track for Ending A/B. (I think the cult will be skipped too)

Geez, I just caught up thinking they've done enough episodes that they must not have to worry about any more delays, and now this. I swear, they're doing something wrong behind the scenes for this to be basically the only series affected by this.

Don't know where to comment but I started replaying Automata and found that 2B has the book Weiss. I guess the original Nier really had a darker ending than I remembered

She doesn't. He's just a DLC skin for the Pod.

Guess I download the Game of the Yorha then. The game also has Noctis' sword from FFXV.
