It is pretty sweet. Although one thing I might criticize is how easily Himuro has given up on managing his own situation. Two episodes of Fuyutsuki basically solving long-term crisis for him that he somewhat could have solved by using google. At least this one did require him to actually train for it.

Of course having her solve his issues is useful. Proactively solving them makes her think about him and keeps him in her mind. While it also makes him extremely grateful and more infatuated by her. So even if they don't require him to go on training montages it makes sense to keep the pattern going.

Plus it's not that bad. They did spice things up in the second half here with a bit more of a strangely adorable deadly situation. Of course things would have gone better if Himuro ironically put more trust in others instead of racing off on his own. He seems quite talented at making the worst possible decisions for himself. Thankfully Fuyutsuki is really quite smart so things worked out just fine .

I read a fair bit of the manga and was amazed by how neither here nor there it was. Can't say the anime is any different, so at least it's consistent with the source. But it literally is like drinking a glass of water without a hint of elevation. It passed the time but had next to no effect. It is rather bizarre that a relationship with two adults could be this placid. Almost as if it's meant to be a deterrent.

I've wondered if there are teams that specialize in fireworks animations since they are so common in anime. The ones at the end of this episode are among the best I've seen.

I asked that very question - why didn’t he just stay indoors? I promise you that hotel will have been fully air-conditioned. Not the sort of series where you sweat that stuff too much, I suppose (pun intended).

It does show how impulsive Himuro is in comparison with the meticulous and thinking-ahead Fuyutsuki.

Of course the meta reason is then we wouldn't have gotten that scene, but yes, it would have been nicer if the story had tried at least a little to justify his actions. Other then just 'it's hot outside'.

Poor Himuro...things are going so well with Fuyutsuki that he doesn't want to get reassigned and loser her now, of all times. He'll even pray to Nyamero through his cats whiskers to make sure they don't get reassigned away from each other! And it works! Nyamero is both cute and powerful !

Although even Fuyutsuki is blushing and smiling at the prospect of them still being together, which is very sweet .

I love how Komori has a smile and a sunny disposition practically plastered on her face. No matter how many times Himuro nearly freezes them, she always takes it in stride .

Treating a girl to a fancy dinner? Himuro you charmer! Although it's hard to find a place for Fuyutsuki since she's so general and okay with anything, although at least he settled on a place. Got to be careful not to freeze himself over nerves though .

Dang, a free foot massage from Fuyutsuki! And it's very effective, especially since she knows all there is to know about the pressure points on feet! And he managed to snag a date with her! This really is Himuro's day !

Himuro didn't skimp out on the restaurant, that was a pretty fine and classy establishment he took Fuyutsuki too...although it's their first date and they're not used to socializing like this, so neither quite knows what to do other than eat their dinner. But Himuro still had a fantastic time and Fuyutsuki got to realize that, so I'd call it a winner !

I love how Saejima realizes the only thing that can make Himuro focus is thinking Fuyutsuki is right in front of him .

Fuyutsuki almost breaking Himuro's poor heart and freezing him again...but she's not wrong in so much as they still don't really know a lot about each other (and haven't even exchanged numbers either). But she only points that out because she does want to get to know him better and be closer. Maybe even make a snowman and go sledding together. Is that what the kids are calling it these days ?

I don't know what's cuter, that Nyamero selfie being the first pic of herself Fuyutsuki sends Himuro or that she has his small self as the home screen on her phone .

Oh hey, the new guy! Katori! Is he like...a phoenix? I guess we'll also meet the girl he's paired with next week as well .

Katori seems like the type of guy who marches by the beat of his own drum and wherever his passions take him, all with a bright and shiny smile on his face and fireworks following behind him. Because he's a phoenix. But it seems like he went from avant-garde artist to office worker because he followed a certain woman, one Otonoashi-san .

Holy crud, is that Ayaneru!? It's so weird seeing her play a relatively down-to-Earth, normal, character compared to her usual roles. And she's got Katori following her around like a baby chick .

I don't know what's more adorable...Fuyutsuki being embarrassed to be caught wanting to watch a childrens' movie or watching her getting invested in a childrens' movie while sitting in the middle of a bunch of kids. It just makes her look cuter to Himuro .

Ahhhh...they're watching the same movie together! That's so sweet !

Fuyutsuki looked stunning in that yellow dress! Himuro is a lucky man !

You would probably think if anyone was going to sit next to Saejima at the movies, it'd be Komori, but no...instead it's Katori so we end up with two male co-workers who don't really know each other watching a three-hour CG movie about anthromorphic rice together .

Fuyutsuki crying was quite the sight, especially since she generally doesn't get that emotional, but it let Himuro step up and comfort her. Kind of wondering how dangerous Himuro's tears might be though .

Spending time with the person you like and playing games makes even overtime seem palatable. We even got a "suki" from Fuyutsuki, even if it was just to say "sukiyaki" .

We finally get a SaejimaxKomori scene! These two seem to enjoy sassing each other. Though it turns into a group outing for the rest of the couples as they eat dinner and gossip about Fuyutsuki and Himuro .

Tsundora Express sounds like an interesting film. Although I don't think the suspension bridge effect applies to overtime, but points for enthusiasm Komori !

After all that overtime they're going to grab a late dinner? They're practically dating at this point. Even their co-workers are treating them like the obvious office couple .

Saejima staring at Komori's undies? No, he's just staring at her adorable fox tail and ears! Well, at least that's what he tells her, in reality he thinks every part of her is cute !

Fuyutuski and Komori make quite the contrast. Fuyutsuki is pretty efficient and put together while Komori...is a bit of a mess. An adorable mess, but a mess nevertheless .

Nothing brings two people together like collecting trinkets together! It even leads Saejima to basically confess! I mean, he said he loves foxes, so that practically was one. And it was a critical hit on Komori! Her blushing maiden in love face is super cute !

Of course Fuyutsuki and Himuro are in the running for the same George the Kitten set. These two think so alike. And thankfully it's a paired set so they can both get it .

I like all the gags they made about a phoenix reviving .

Katori is having some relationship trouble with Otonashi! He proclaims his love and desire to marry her so often that she doesn't take it seriously and doesn't quite know what to do with him! But his feelings for her are genuine. He fell really hard for her after seeing how efficient and energetic she is as a sales lady. And what better way for an office romance to progress than two co-workers going through the highs and lows of working in the sales department ?

Ayaneru as a serious and vicious saleswoman is pretty memorable .

Dang, angry Himuro is kind of scary! Someone should definitely not put the moves on Fuyutsuki or practice confessing on her in front of him, lest they get frozen to death .

I love a great office romance, but dang it if I wouldn't watch high school romance Fuyutsuki and Himuro in a heartbeat! Even the fantasy of it looks adorable !

Nekomi Land tickets? Is Budha trying to play wingman for Fuyutsuki and Himuro? Amusement park date !?

it's a bummer that otonashi doesn't take katori seriously but with how he is I do understand a little, still she got some blush so there are feelings there from her. I think katori needs to take a serious tone in a way that she has to take it seriously. Wish him the best.

Then there is saejima and komori, their ship can set sail easily but saejima backs off everytime.

Staring contest between co-workers! That got pretty romantic when they started staring really intently at each other. I love how Fuyutsuki seemed to realize it and got embarrassed first .

It's nice to have Buddha as not only your section chief but also your romantic wingman .

Poor Komori. She just happens to be an avid Nekomimi Land fan and has an annual pass but her enthusiasm intimidates Himuro and then she earns his wrath when she ends up getting roped into their amusement park date...but knowing how it would suck to be the third wheel, she ropes in Saejima. Why not make it a double date ?

"Nickey and Ninnie?" Well, that's not overtly a reference at all .

A lost child is a staple of amusement park visits and a nice excuse to separate HimuroxFuyutsuki from SaejimaxKomori so both couples can enjoy the park on their own and at their own pace. Plus Fuyutsuki entertaining that child with a hand puppet was so adorable! Both of them seem good with kids in fact !

Saejima's getting pretty direct with Komori, who writes it off with some teasing, though I imagine that's just how she handles stuff she feels awkward/embarrassed by and she turns it around on him in the end .

How many Disneyland rides can we effectively adapt with cute cats? Surprisingly more than you'd think .

Fuyutsuki's face and hair during that ferris wheel ride was stunning! Also, how much good press is Himuro's snow going to add to that park ?

Matching plates...matching mugs...these two may as well be official at this point. Heck, it looks like Himuro was about to confess before Komori interrupted. Dang it, Komori. I was on your side right up until that point !

Both couples having a cute moment with each other on the train. You love to see it .
