Oh, wow, from the creator of Lodoss?! Now I'm looking forward to this. Hopefully, like Lodoss, this will be a hard fantasy, no isekai & harem hijinks like in many other LNs. I like Lodoss OVA, and the TV series is fine...which makes me feeling nostalgic of Lodoss TV opening song right now :

New visual is out. There's also a preview but it's region blocked.

First episode is out on Crunchyroll.
I think so far, the show is alright but I find the Theo (the male protagonist) to be really blend. Nothing about his personality so far really stands out to me even though he made an impression for Siluca. At least they introduced the story so far in the beginning. The animation quality seems good enough for A-1 Pictures at the moment but I expect it to drop in quality somewhere down the line. Might have potential.

It was okay but definitely lacking a good hook. I definitely agree that it was way too rushed and the characterisation suffers as a consequence. The wannabe hero conveniently summarises his entire character to the audience in a one minute infodump and the mage woman's actions come across as convenient plot developments rather than her having a mysterious agenda. Plus she has virtually no chemistry with the wannabe hero. The main POV should've been from the wannabe hero from the start and the episode should've started on his background rather than the mage and then have the mage introduced from his POV so we get a sense of her actually being a mysterious benefactor. It also should've been a double episode to properly pace the plot developments. The wannabe hero goes from wannabe knight to Lord of a small town in a day with all the perspective of catching a pokemon.
