Avatars and Signitures?

I dont know if this is the right place but i was wondering...as you can see i dont have a avatar or a signiture and i would like to make myself them. Only problem is i dont know how. Which programmes do i use to make them and how do i get them to appear in my messages?

Thanks for any help.

All necessary settings can be found in the User CP. To change your avatar, go here. Either upload a custom avatar (max 100x100 pixels or 50KB size which occurs first) or choose one of the board avatars.
To change your signature go here. Upload the desired signature image to a free image host like: www.imageshack.us and link to it in your sig with the [IMG]www.signature.com/image/example.gif[/IMG] tags.

Programs to create Avas and Sigs are for example Photoshop for Windows systems and GIMP for Linux systems.

you can also use swish max and flash, also photoshop is a good program but keep in mind most of these programs are extreamly ixpensive... wait thats not right umm they are expensive and generally not many peopl can afford them. If you go with photoshop then try to get a student edition or something and make shure its photoshop 7.1 or 7.0

just my 2 cents

Yeah im new...to the boards and Anime and Manga are a new hobbie to me as well. I went through a small phase of Anime when i was about 12 i bought a few animes demon city, akira and ghost in the shell.

But through a friend i know i started back into it reviving my interests we went to a fancy dress party dressed as kaneda (me) and Tetsuo (my friend) i have pictures somewhere and im reading a couple of mangas and a few animes.

Hope to be around for a long time keeping up with all the latest.

Azriel.

Thanks she will say yes. She said if i dont ask her soon she will have to ask me and i dont want that to happen...its shameful but i do want to marry her because i know i love her with all my heart. Ive also planned the way im gonna do it and discussed it with her sister. Should be cool and prove i can be romantic.

I upload this image here at:
http://img45.exs.cx/img45/8287/Yoshino_ava1.jpg

but I keep getting this error message:
Error - cannot find an image at the specified URL. Please make sure that you have entered a valid URL.
can anyone see this image? If so, then why do I get this error message?

No idea to be honest -- I just set your image as my profile picture and had no problems. Maybe you should try again? Failing that I (or one of the other mods) can set it for you.

Still isn't working. Is uploading it directly from my computer the only option I have now? Because I really don't like it.

Tried setting my avatar to http://img45.exs.cx/img45/8287/Yoshino_ava1.jpg to see if it worked for me. It did, so I changed my avatar back. Confident that if there is an error, it is limited to you I decided to simply set your avatar myself since NightWish already promised. Maybe you've got some sort of cache problem?

If you are having a problem, this will fix it:

Then it probably isn't a cache problem. I have no idea why you couldn't do it then.
