WOW!!! Rotoscope done right in my opinion. You get the best out of the movement and choreography, but also adding in fantastical elements with the images! Seki's pretty damn awesome. This show's getting me wayyyy too hyped.
Linking ED too for completion, and also pretty good. |

Episode 1
Hmm....this show. Well, I thought it was interesting but at the same time very heavy with the dialogues. So if this show is going to be quite talky, it's going to have to keep the viewer with what the characters have to say. Thankfully, I think it did that part right as it captured my interest. And given the mystery aspect of the show, I find Magata to be an interesting character because of her intellect, background, and so far hard to read in terms of her personality. I wish they designed the characters that is modeled after Inio Asano though. Still, good start for now.

Wow. Now THAT was good. It set the scene and introduced the characters really well, and completely grabbed me from the wonderfully artistic OP through to the ED.
And how can you not love a woman who drives an Alfa Romeo? This heads right to the top of my list. |

Ep 01
I also thought it was a pretty good premier...the story line is kinda...alien(?) or "unnatural" somehow (hard to explain - sorta like the supra-genius' personality comes off), though perhaps that is deliberate...but the characters are pretty interesting. The animation also caught my interest. The dialogue was pretty densely packed, but not impossible or uninteresting either. Yeah, will definitely give the next one a looksee. ^^

Riveted my attention from beginning to end. Interesting ideas lightly touched on. Interesting and unusual characters, with leaps or gaps or mysteries in their thinking.
And fascinating voice acting. Tanezaki Atsumi as Moe was either incompetent or excellent, I'm not sure which: in any case, I loved the odd rhythms of her speech. Very nicely conceived character, from her outfit to her car to her wealth to her intelligence to her infatuation and how she handled it. Kase Yasuyuki as the professor was highly convincing. Horie Yui did a beautiful job as the woman who brought the snacks the prof couldn't eat. And Kido Ibuki (Shiki), as I thought might happen, dominated the scenes she was in. Yes, she can do anything.

ep 1
That was pretty good start. I especially like how the art direction and framing used to give this episode a rather melancholy feel. I'm intrigued enough to see more.
OP and ED definitely among my favorites this season if not just for the music alone. Well it supposedly a mystery show so of course it is, unless we dealing with a mystery thriller. I'm kinda of surprised when people tend to say that despite the genre. Last edited by Iron Maw; 2015-10-08 at 17:33. |

That was an absolute amazing premiere. Loved every second of it, especially Atsumi's stellar performance as Moe. The atmosphere was incredibly immersive and the characters were successfully presented as intruiging enigmas. I definitely want to see where this will go. Best premiere of the season.
Great OP as well. I usually just skip those things but this one grabbed me and kept me right to the end, which is incredibly rare.
