Unlike the last space combat action which has nice animation but inconsistent art, this battle at least has both, even if the combat scenes can be short at times. I also like how some of the battle tropes you'd normally see in mobile suit battles like these get subverted:

Well, well. Another good episode. What thought to be an evasive maneuver turns out to be an infiltration operation by Tekkadan to enemy's ship, thanks to the kids toughness that can endure the drop.

Anyway, from how Turbine looking at Maruba after the fatso told him that he forced the Arayashiki-system onto the kids, it looks like he still have conscience after all, not just a cold-hearted businessman. I do appreciate that.

And Mikazuki is having a hard time dealing with a twintail-chick pilot (though yes, he was handicapped a bit). It's still amusing nonetheless. I'm glad that twintail chick is badass in this series and open-minded about sex and knows what she wants, not another loli-tsundere trope.

Oh, and for those who haven't seen the episode, prepare for some delicious fanservice. Thankfully, the fanservice in this Gundam series doesn't insult your intelligence *coughHeavyObjectcough*.

Goddamnit, I hope the next episode shows the boarding and breaching scene in it's entirety. That's a missed moment of awesomeness right there.

SHIP TO SHIP COMBAT!!!! -freaks out-
Theres a much heavier emphasis on this that in most previous shows, I love it!!!

And of course awesome gritty MS action!!!

Fanservice thats not too over the top! YUS!!!

Lol Orga looking at Mika to see what he thinks, only to see Mika placidly munching on his snack with about zero expressions

......Was that just me or was there a guy love moment there??????

I like this new crew (aside from Maruba ofc), were gonna get another breather episode next to flesh them out a bit and advance the plot, fine by me

An excellent episode and agree with points raised above. Some other thoughts...

Curious that Maruba claims to "own" Kudelia. That'd be an awfully big and dangerous lie if it is one and Mr Turbine doesn't seem like the sort of person who'd just accept such a claim - he'd surely know about Kudelia's status. So... I'm guessing there's something else going on here. Did Kudelia's father sell her to Maruba or something?

Talking of Kudelia, we see another example of how she gets depressed if she feels that she's of no use (can't contribute). This is coming up nearly every episode. Given how strong it is I'm guessing that rather than being a personality trait that she's always had it's because of a specific event in her past - I hope the writers don't go with something too predictable when it gets explained.

I like how they animated her hair in zero-g and the "tasteful" fan-service was nicely done - her struggles to get the suit on made sense in context, so it wasn't just fan-service for the sake of fan-service. Maybe close the door first next time though

It was also a nice touch in how they showed how problematic it can be for the ship to suddenly go into zero-g if you're a cook. Potatoes in space!

Early on in the episode there is a lot of tension between Orga and Biscuit that clearly builds on the previous episode. Nicely done. I wonder what other options Biscuit thought of - surrender would hardly be a good option. I can't think of anything else they could have done except to try to use Kudelia's money via Nobliss Gordon.

I wonder how the other ship managed to sneak up on them. They don't seem to have a way to cloak Ahab Waves because they showed up normally once hostilities began. Maybe they have a big battery and used that for a while and powered down the reactor. That seems plausible for a short while - put the ship on an intercept course then go into silent running.

holy crap, from this episode alone Tekkadan's main frontline arsenal already suffered damage with the Barbatos beaten to crap that even its v-fin broke off & head cracked open along with the Akihiro's Graze that was reduced to a crushed can, damn! those Mobile Workers put whatever mobile units to shame as they managed to infiltrate an enemy ship undetected while dropping off their own ship on a near high speed collision, also Turbine's sexy angels

Nope, don't buy it. Although the ship fight is probably the best thing to happen in this series thus far.

Guy love? I vaguely thought Yamagi was awakening to some Newtype awareness kind of... hmm... idk

I was wondering where Orga had gone, leaving Eugene captaining the ship. Was pleasantly surprised to see him doing a Rhamba Rhal impression of leading a guerilla attack on the ship. Yeah could have been nice to actually see the part of them storming the ship though, ahem... against Turbine's what seem to be an all-female(?) crew. Turbine's reaction to the space rats is interesting, I wonder if he has one or two of those whiskers himself.

Lafter's unrestrained brash talk is not quite my cup of tea, nice ~~pedicure~~ err i mean nice fight though. The cool Azee interest me somewhat, seem like one among them isn't like the others, she looks out of place especially in the preview all properly suit up. Might make a good match to the similar cool Akihiro?

This was one hell episode. I had hard time decide between giving it 9 or 10 points, but went for later as this show clearly trying avoid/correct all inherent flaws that comes with name Gundam. Such effort deserve additional point.

Let's see what all these good looking girls bring to story. And I hope all these raised death flags I spotted get broken soon.

I hope they help out Tekkadan in the end; they seem like nice guys.

Expected Orga to do something when he give Eugene temporary captain position and he didn't disappointed me at all
Ship fight is awesome not seeing that many details fight between two ship in Gundam series
Mobile Suit fight is also awesome It show how experience the pilot is and not a beam spam fes

Introducing to more new character is always a good thing
if they can distributed the scene time well
waiting to see their involvement in the story

Cannot ask for more from this episode they really did a very good job on this

The fact that the latter had to resort to going mano a mano against his enemies was as hilarious as it was manly There's also the awesome acknowledgement of some Newtonian physics at least at having the Isaribi turn then face the ship behind them even as they're maintaining course, a move we don't normally see in ship-to-ship combat in most mecha series. Also like how it was ultimately Maruba's big mouth combined with his arrogance that ultimately led to the cessation of hostilities, since it looks like Turbine has lines he will not cross. __________________ Against all the evil that hell can conjure, all wickedness that mankind can produce...
