It will still sell alot of copies even if it stays ps3 exclusive. I'm still buying it though but this was part of the reason why I bought FF13. I say the only way Sony can announce something bigger is FF7 remake. Make it happen.

on another note, the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm demo is hot stuff. Play it like everyday. This and Ubisoft's game make me a happy man. |

I've been looking everywhere all over DC area but everything sold out within days. Hmmmm, Bowie, MD is pretty far out. Still, maybe worth a trip. |

I'd say the DS is the JRPG console this gen.
Sure, you get the big stuff in the home consoles, but they take a longer time to develop, whereas the DS gets more regular releases. Well, it seems that way to me at least. |

Well, I'm not going to argue with that. The PSP/DS have a bunch of great JRPGs already out, and a slew on their way in the near future. I was just referring to as far as home consoles go. Still, as far as sales go, that's a different story. It does hold the the biggest portfolio(excluding handhelds), but general sales of those already released haven't been all that great when you compare. Still, pretty crazy turn of events regardless

Well, it's still going to be an interesting release day.
Since it's not coming to the 360 in Japan, (from what I've heard), will the install base of the PS3 increase further there? And how will it affect sales of the PS3 and especially the 360 over here in the West, where there's already a bigger install base for the latter in the first place? I wish there's more info regarding the differences, so it would be easier to make a decision as to what version to get. I would especially like confirmation about FFXIIIvs. If that's staying on the PS3, then I would probably get the PS3 version of FFXIII as well. |

You mean FFVII?
as far as install base in Japan, regarding PS3, I'm sure it will increase like it did with MGS4. Probably even more so. However, overall it probably won't change a thing too much. Japan is Nintendo country. Plain and simple. edit: Oh you're talking about Versus XIII. My mistake |

there is also the asian market, well it is pretty much lumped together with japan in american eyes anyways.
side note: They should remake ff vii, viii and ix on the psp w/ voice over. ff xiii and ff xiii vs would be on my watch list, most likely to get it. kingdom hearts iii would be a very good one indeed if they decide to anounce it 2morrow. |

With last generation, an early launch and strong Japanese output (this gave Sony a huge edge over Microsoft) put Sony in the winning position. However, a sharp decline in cutting edge Japanese support has hurt Sony's competitiveness. Once you factor in mediocre sales, a difficult development environment, and inadequate support for developers (this is where Microsoft truly excels - they reach out to external studios so that programmers are up to speed, and their experience supporting Windows developers shows), the PS3 becomes unattractive to publishers, despite its high quality. Ultimately, Sony has been in a losing position from day one. |

And i just don't understand why SE would waste their/Microsoft's money to release FFXIII on the 360 in US/EU
At least wee still have Gt5 which we know will sell millions in EU alone

>_< I doubt that Lost Odyssey sold lest than 1 million copies i don't think FFXIII will sell more then 1 million copies on the 360
DMC4 sold more on the PS3 than the 360
