I think the hero just feel gulty to leave a comrade behind in the hands of a demon, but he understood it was a invincible enemy and that was the only way to gain passage.
Not a true "hero" in my eyes, because he left her behind thinking of the worst possibility (human eating demon, rapist, etc.) but it was one life against the rest of humanity, for that is a smart hero.
The witch was a bitch, only happy to get the hero only for herself, probably she thought the same things hero had on Cicilia future.
I fear Cecilia could be betrayed in future, someone could say she wasn't in the final fight and possibly the demons corrupted her in the short while when they were separated, our MC could have to protect her.
EDIT: I forgot the 2nd page of this topic, this novel is light-hearted and it doesn't have that kind of stuff, is indeed a possible plot twist but hopefully it will never be used.

Ooh, nice. Aside from Youki/MC, my own internal image of them pretty much all missed, but I like official versions more anyway. Though Raven the silent swordsman kinda' surprised me cuz' I expected him to have short black hair & not long red haired & flirty looking (I also expected mage to have a "seductress" look, wrong again I guess).

Mikan's image as a slut was entirely Youki's biased opinion simply because he was jealous of the hero. The thing about first-person narration, is that everything is filtered through the story-tellers own point of view, including their own personal preferences and opinions. Even if the narrator describes something in a particular way, it may be exaggerated, for instance, whether or not a woman is the most beautiful in the world, the protagonist might think so, when in fact, she is not really any more or less beautiful than any other in the story, but the main character believes she is, so that's what the narration says.

Is your internal image of the swordman due to a certain Sword hero that think that he is in a game? ^^

Moreover I thought tht the MC would be more plain than that but well

They describe Youki as a dull looking person but the illustration feels somewhat different.

I was wondering what Happiness looked like, being a harpy and all. I had trouble telling from the machine translations what exactly it was they did to disguise her, it seemed to be removing her wings + plucking her feathers? Duke (the Dullahan) can get away with simply wearing a high-necked armor. In addition to the aforementioned Celia and Sophia, there's still no illustrations for Seek (Youki's third former minion, the male childlike Pixie) or Clayman either.

Youki amends his opinions of Raven and Mikana after he actually talks for them for a minute. That said, Mikana's outfit shows a lot more skin than I expected.

10. I tried reuniting with my former underlings.
11. I tried to fulfill the wish of my former underlings.
12. I tried letting my former underlings meet the girl I like.

The staff are still debating on how to properly translate the Harpy girl's name OTL (and we decided on Sheik for the Pixie, since it goes along well with Duke)...or more like I'm having internal conflict over it...

I have sent a prayer to the all mighty Suisei that he include some romanized names with the release of the light novel volume 1 tomorrow 8A8

Well, the magician's dress is rather revealing while the swordsman/Raven definitely fit the cool silent type so I can sorta get why Youki thought that about them. Although the hero is a lot more normal than I expected (Boisterous grin, a bit more muscle, a more sporty/wild look).

Youki... Too tame. Maybe he's trying to distance himself from his chuu2 syndrome?

Cecillia is the best though. No doubt about it.
