That would explain some of Al's spot on comments in the Tessa OVA.

We do care about it but there is no translation of it so it's hard to discuss.

Vote on Full Metal Panic! to see it translated by Baka-Tsuki (include Another series)

Nice to see the new Arm Slaves. Seems that they finally got them used for construction purposes.

Out of curiosity, has any of the FMP short/side stories ever been translated whether officially or informally?

Officially - No
By fans? - 8 stories have been translated, and 4 others have fairly detailed summaries

I'd rather watch another season of FMP! in Japanese... But more FMP! is never a bad thing.

Go team!

I hope they make the fourth season and finish the story already if they're making Another into an anime.... For anime viewers, Sousuke and Chidori's story will be left hanging without a closure...

The ship has kind of sailed... it wouldn't make much commercial sense to animate a continuation of the story after what, 7-10 years? And it's not like FMP! has an Evangelion-like following, either. For all intents and purposes the franchise has done a very poor job at maintaining an interested fanbase, at least in the Anglophone realm (The lack of translated works had a lot to do with it I'd wager). I'm not sure what the support is like in Japan, however.

It's really a shame because you could tell how much better TSR was from the first season of FMP!, but they didn't even produce a whole 23-25 episodes season for our enjoyment.

Old or not... that doesn't matter... FMP is one of the best animes out there! There will always be fans awaiting for that day... if it comes...

Hey, they waited over 10 years to make the live-action Rurouni Kenshin movie because of technology limitations.

I'm a huge fan of FMP too but sadly I don't see any signs to justify getting my hopes up.

Best I can do is obnoxiously represent the anime whenever I go in the internet. I might start using a "kurzu webbar" alias or something like that.
