Somehow Kazuki is going to be one of those guys who just won't die no matter what you do to them. He could probably survive a nuclear explosion and come out screaming at you for some stupid reason. Maybe they should toss him into the sun or something along those lines.

The ED, not a bad song but...wow Machina's breasts just go overboard yet again.

Liner was a pretty straight forward guy in comparison to what I was expecting. Just going out there to test his potential and fulfill the expectations that Jin's father had for him.

So seems Ostrum is actually dead...I'll ignore the questions that still stand at how Jin and Gio are there fine within a few hours and that guy died.

rofl Kazuki smashT, i've been waiting for it for so long. Hopefully he stays dead >_<. At least Orange-kun was good comic relief, Kazuki is just pathetic.

Don't get your hopes up, it's a rule that the psycho does not die till the end, if at all.
But really, couldn't theyhave made him a MUTE psycho at least? His bitching is more annoying than anything.

Well, the new ep (#14) wasn't bad, some interesting developments of the varous releationships there, and we did get to see emo-boy blow up, although it seems doubful its permanent

I always like to over-analyze details in new OPs and EDs, and one thing I noticed in the new ED.

Emo buggers like kazuki are chemical resistant bugs...I hope the explosion at least left some mark on him - a nice gash down his back or across his face will do

the death of Kazuki was preatty exciting for me cause even the bitter end he still hold hate for Jin.. im not a Kazuki fan but hey give the guy respect for at least trying to win his men toy back.

Widow was awesome! Even though Jin wasn't fighting back seriously untill the end Widow rocked!
My guess is that Widow and Kazuki might show remorse just before the end and sacrifice themselves in a last attempt at redemption.

Damn it Kazuki if you want to die you die alone dont drag widow into it too. Widow deserved a pilot with sanity and no emo qualities to speak of. The rest of the episode was so so the end is where it was really at. Except big boob doctor actually preforming resonance with a original. Again a person who does not deserve the gift of it, although i admit that her outlook has changed since the truth was reveled to her. What i find interesting is that the commander took the little girl who is still shrouded in mystery with him. I guess her story will be reveled soon.

Kazuki proved an hinderence till the very end. The fact he was willing to watch his comrades die just to get back at Jin shows how far he has truly fallen. He used the words your friends when speaking to Jin which shows he did not think of the ISDA fondly anymore. While everyone else around him is fighting for the survival of planet he could selfishly think about his own feelings and how Gio didnt chose him. Well theres a good reason look how ended up. I dont know if he is truly dead but i hope so.

The cockpit got knocked off widow and they both fell. What i dont understand is where the explosion came from. There is no way that tail whip did enough damage to Widow to cause her to explode.

I think Widow already wanted to die after loosing her first pilot. Don't they do psych tests? Emo boy went a little bit off the deep end. Even if it is because of his dependency on Gio's hot loving to keep him sane, Jin has been missing Toa and you don't seem him sacrificing people around him to try get her back. Jin actually has been doing the opposite.

Doesn't anyone else get the feeling that the relationships are a bit Dragon's of Pern type of thing?

wow! ep14 is GREAT!!!!

I wonder if it's just pure coincidence that the episodes with little or no Toa are the best episodes

Akira and Jin really make a nice couple in this episode, the new ED rocks, both the pics and "fight or flight", Widow rocks (long range fireball plus tentacles = WIN

), and psycho Kazuki ROCKS (well, in the evil psycho villain way, gotta love how he is laughing at Jin after destroying the launching rail and watching the shuttle falling to its doom, his "Geeheeheeheee..." laugh is simply creepy

)

I'd guess Kazuki will surely return, maybe with a cross scar at his forehead, and even more evil than before

Spoiler for ED Speculation?: In the group shot at the very end, Gio, Akira and Machina all have their eyes closed. It occured to me that one resolution of the Gio/Toa/Jin "triangle" would be if Gio was to die saving Toa and Jin in the end. Could the "closed eyes" thing be a hint that Akira and Machina are doomed, too? That would be a shame, as I probably like them the best out of all the dragon/human pairs (in spite of Machina's bizzare cleavage). Well, time will tell.

Same thing goes with Akira and Machina.
