If they did bring Lelouch back, I will be honest and say that I would be happy. :]

I don't recall that ever happening? Let's not spread false or misconstrued plot details about other series in the Code Geass threads anymore please. It was bad enough during R2 when most people couldn't even get the details of the Code Geass episode that aired the previous week right.

He's referring to the Setsuna and Tieria vs. Ali battle in the second season, in which Ali says half of his body was burned by the destruction of his Gundam Throne. A lot of people take it too literally and assume he literally lost half of his body; I take it to mean he suffered 3rd degree burns on half of his body.

Good = OVA, Code Geass R3
Ok = Spin-off from an interesting character.
Bad = anime adaption of Nightmare of Nunnally.
Crying = Spin-off of any of the Ashford Academy characters.

Hmmm well anyway I hope if there's a new project I might actually get to enjoy it and have a reasonable discussion about it this time around, though judging by the level of maturity (or lack thereof) already present in this thread I think there's just a little to many excess emotions and opinions for this to work as a subforum when the time comes.

They are going to have to make new rules tailored specifically to the Geass forum in order to not have this end up looking like 4chan week after week. *hint hint*

Maybe a story from C.C's point of view.

You are correct, and in the official Bandai-English version Ali states that Setsuna destroyed half his body and it had to be regenerated.

But back on subject.

A few people here have mentioned NoN being done as an anime.
Personally I could get into that.
NoN is a good AU Geass story IMHO and I for one would watch it.
As for SoTC, methinks that would not do well financially so I don't see it as a possiblity.

One thing is certain however, whatever is released will surely be loved by some, and hated by others.

Hold on Setsuna never went anywhere near to burning Ali.

The only pilot that came closest to this was Neil.

Other possibility is that it follows the Geass story from a different perspective on another battlefield while Suzaku and Lelouch make cameos.

I mean come on, don't we all want to know what happened to that other knight of the rounds?

I type fast, I was referring to Ali speaking directly to Setsuna in the 2nd season.

Ali says "you" when he was talking to Setsuna and Tiera, even though he meant Celestial Being.

Now enough of that, it's off subject and being dragged on far beyond the point I already made about it; that being that Sunrise resurrects main characters whenever it suits them.

As for the KoTR; NO! I don't know about anybody else but I could give a rat's behind about them.
I'm glad they got axed.
Hopefully none of them "survived" somehow to return in anything new other than an AU story.

To be fair, Sunrise didn't bring Ali back; the 00 staff decided to keep him alive, seeing how we saw him in the season 1 epilogue. Sunrise isn't always the culprit whenever a character previously thought to be dead comes back, you know.

Personally I feel a lot of people are believing it is Lelouch, or the new series is related to in one way or another because of the dramatic Zero pose, the words "Rebirth", and the event was held on Lelouch's birthday.

It's a good way to get people's interest back to Code Geass.

I vote we let go of the Zero subject until we know more about the new project, lest this develops into another Lelouch Alive vs. Dead flame war.

It just wouldn't be Geass without the lovable Suzaku and Lelouch together.

Then again....since Suzaku IS Zero you can argue that the two have combined to a certain extent

Seeing how Suzaku deals wtih the new world and trying to maintain Lelouch's dreams would be interesting.

Maybe Suzaku has a breakdown and starts imagining himself as Lelouch.

If that was true, that would be a weird idea for a new series haha

No we don't. We know how the past series ended. We have no idea what they are doing/planning now.

Thanks for that info, I didn't know it was the staff that brought him back.

As for the whole "Zero-behind-the-mask" thing, I agree that we should assume it is Suzaku until we know more.

However, if I understand well, they spoke about the return of "zero", then it can be a parallel universe, or in another age, somebody will use the same masked identity, or just a remake.

Everything is possible, like the fact Tieria is dead, but his 3D-ghost can live and pilot a gundam.
