I watch Fansubs on my 28" Sony with the computers 5:1 system, before I just used my 17" TFT. I use the livingroom´s 32" Widescreen to watch R2 anime in the 5:1 system there. But I watch R1 anime on my region-free 5:1 system (under the PS2) I use my comfortable chair with footstool. In the summer I sometimes rack up a bunch of huge pillows on my bed and watch from there. |

My setup
Since I own my own house and I'm kinda of a HT freak, here's how I watch my anime:
In my living room I watch it on my 42" Sony GrandWega III LCD projection TV hooked up via DVI to my home build HTPC with video files streamed from my Dell NAS Server in my study upstairs. This system has a Denon 2802 Receiver with 6 Energey Connoisseur speaker setup and a 280W Sony subwoofer so it's really sweet watching anime with great music like Madlax. In my bed room I watch the same anime file on my 27" Sony CRT TV via a hacked Xbox running Xbox Media Player, feeding from the same Dell NAS server. My house is wired with Cat5 to all the rooms so the network speed from the server is pretty decent using my backbone gig ethernet switch. The bedroom only has a small 5.1 speaker setup, but I'm okay with it. When I'm in a room w/o a TV I watch my anime from laptops on my 11g wireless network. The throughput is acceptable for MPEG4 encoded files, but not for DVD rips. |

If you want to mug me now, I'd hate to think what you'll do after I tell you about my 110" front projection system with 8.1 sound system I'm planning for our family room.... True it's really for the soon-to-be-mine HDTivo and HD football, but I'll be damned if I don't watch some BakuTen on this baby. |
