Per the uniform controversy? I wouldn't worry about it - sometimes I think the (phony concept) "intellectual property" psychosis is destroying the idea of homage and the spread of ideas.
The more cute girls wearing Kanon-style uniforms - the happier guys in general will probably be @Riker: w00t for taiyaki ... on a random note.. I finally tried *takoyaki* the other night. Pretty much Japanese fritters/hushpuppies ... I thought the sauce was too heavy though (makes note to ask for it on the side in the future). I now have TWO double-taiyaki molds so I can double my production for special occasions. If anyone in the U.S./Canada is looking for them, Ekitron.com has them in stock (the molds are extremely difficult to get ahold of --- something about Strategic Taiyaki Munitions Control ).

Even though I am a guy, I don't mind wearing the uniform. I could cosplay for the first time! (and cross-dressing is fun! Blame this on Otoboku)

So these are the only responses over the first 24 hours? Then I'll take it that most of us Kanon fans aren't exactly out baying for the poor dude's blood....
For me, I was present on that day, and took those pictures myself with my own camera. Anyway, they showed the designs on the boards before the catwalk, and when I saw this particular one, I recognized the Kanon inspiration immediately....but the design sketch gave me the impression that the girl was wearing a kind of vest modelled after the Kanon short cape, rather than the cape itself. Because of this, I figured it was original enough to be impressive, which was why this design was one of my early favourites. But then during the catwalk, when it turned out the girl was wearing a bolero that looked like an almost-exact replica of the cape itself, I was like, "Ooooooooh no no no no......what the heck?!?!?!? Rip-off, man! You're asking for a disqualification, dude!" Well, no disqualification, and he still got a respectable second place anyway, even if it was from a design I deemed too unoriginal to deserve it. Anyway, I'll list out some of the differences I can spot from Kanon's uniform and his design. Kanon's main uniform consisted of a collared, long-sleeved dress which buttons down the middle; while it may not be apparent from the catwalk shots, the full design sketch actually reveals that what the model was wearing underneath that cape was actually a cotton tank top, and a seperate skirt. Here's the page to see the full sketch: Entry 30 is the one you want, folks. In any case, while the uniform does look snazzy enough, my gut feeling is that it's a little too fussy for the average Singaporean schoolgirl's liking. So not much hope of seeing anything like that on the Singapore streets anytime soon. Only one blank in that set to fill; Yuuichi as the "handler" of the five girls. |

I got some pretty nice ideas for wallpapers now. I started working on one and it was coming along pretty nicely. These ideas were nice, I mean, it's something that's a bit different from my usual(not alot, but it's still a little bit of a change).
I just wished I remembered to save before it crashed |
