50 minutes? That's not even a movie, that's an OVA.
I knew AIC was already throwing in the towel when they scrapped the third season, but I wasn't expecting them to go out on a whimper. Suu's magnum opus deserved better than this.

People also said it was mostly comedy. I was mostly hyped for the movie because the manga was unsatisfying for me as an Ikaros shipper, but now I know it's probably not going to happen. Oh well, I had doubts in the first place on whether the movie could match the intensity of the manga's finale.

Not overly shocking that it didn't have that much anime success. An entertaining show, but also had tone whiplash at times. A lot of comedy and then suddenly incredibly serious stuff going on and then back to over the top comedy. Fun, but you can probably lose a few people along the way.

This was all just a big spiral of disappointment.
Awesome! A third season of Sora no Otoshimono! Never mind, they're scrapping the season and compressing things to just a movie. But at least season 3 can come afterwards, right? Never mind again, based on the title this is going to wrap up the anime altogether. Oh, and the movie is only going to be 50 minutes long. And almost purely a comedy. I'm surprised the movie didn't turn out to be a black and white silent film while we were at it. =_= |
