Unfortunately... if they go overboard with the fanservice and turn it into Higurashi no Tsukaima... I won't watch it. ._.;

I'm a bit afraid since this is Deen and an OVA. Lets hope they dont over-do it. I can handle some, but I dont want to be watching a complete overload.

It will only be one episode. A "fun" episode, so I'd almost think they would go overboard just because it would be for comic effect. The middle three will be the drama. I have no idea about the last chapter. Besides there are already some shots of the swimsuits and I think a trailer out already (or out shortly)...K1 has the least amount of material on as it is (I'm sure it was Mion's idea), while Takano seems to have a French look. And I love Rena's yellow bikini.

I know the middle one is Saikoroshi-hen and the final one was something about magatama's that would make the people holding them fall in love, or something like that.

I don't know why people are suddenly complaining about the fanservice adverts. Higurashi always uses fanservice for the advertisements.

Adverts... but the actual anime only had a couple of scenes with stuff like that.

Because it takes place at a swimming pool, the chances of it being super fanservicey are pretty high. =/

In my own defense, I don't like those either. It's why I had absolutely no interest in the past and current Higurashi calendars.

I understand that the series is sort of a play-off of expectations. And I understand that people love those images and it probably brings more folks into starting the series but.... well, it's not for me .

I know nothing of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei on purpose, because there is going to be a third season. I do wish that they added to Rei Onisarashi-hen though...it makes sense really.
I mean Natsumi has been in a lot of the now console games of Higurashi and now Daybreak Portable...so wouldn't they consider her for the third season?

Hopefully maybe in the future there is a fourth short little Season/OVA...


But anyway what was that pillow and Ryukishi style DVD box set at the end of the video?

In addition to what /I meant for it making sense that they add Onisarashi-hen, it would be wise to get another short little arc out there after Rei's release. Gomen, I didn't explain myself in the image thread. heh heh.

I really don't know. I mean, the penalty games and Angel Morte IN the series were always "fanservicey", and there were probably thousands of those off screen in all the worlds and days we didn't see.

Besides, what was anyone expecting when it was announced to be an episode at the pool AFTER Matsuribayashi? That pretty much rules out scary stuff, and even if it hadn't, it's at a pool. Really.

Frankly, all we've seen is revealing outfits. There's so much MORE fanservice possibilities that we haven't seen (they might end up being in it, but I doubt it considering it's only supposed to be one episode) to be in it so far.

And if you don't like it, just wait for Saikoroshi and Hirukowashi. \O_o/

Just doing Daybreak...with in game weapons could be considered fanservice.

However the main source of fanservice will probably be K1...fanservice to Mion and Rena that is, (and probably, to a degree, Rika).

The seductive and flirtatious outfits that the female characters are wearing mostly.

Fanservice can mean that it is just doing (Insert thing here) for the fans like what I mentioned above and like perhaps something the fans would really want.

Umm...I guess in a sense that would be considered fan-service as it is giving the "fans" what they would rather perfer.
