As for the chapter, I'm a bit disappointed we didn't get to see Shunsui and Mayuri shrug off whatever Nananana had in mind, but if it advances the story, I guess it's okay. Even if NecroTrap, Sister Gluttony, and the Mr. Needs-Better-Move-Names turning on Yhwach was cliche and predictable...

True, but at least it didn't come out of nowhere. So now we have Aizen and some rebelling Quincies, we just need those Fullbringers and the remnants of Hueco Mundo's fighting force to join in (and the case of the missing Yachiru to be resolved). The only useful vizard(Hachi) is there to revive and heal them all anyway.

They will be back. Toshiro is one of the most popular bleach characters. He isn't going to write him off just like Byakuya.
