sorry if this was already asked but how does the magic work in this story?

is it the standard version or a bit more special? random like fairy tail?

Not sure what did you mean by 'standard version' , 'special' and 'random'

'Magic' used by witches in this story is mainly use for summoning and controlling the 'Leviathan' to fight. Witches can also use their magic to find and identify magical object or any magical presence. However, Witches are never shown to be able to use any attack magic (like fire ball and thunder bolt) to fight by their own (so far).

So maybe standard version??

what i meant with "standard" was the typical magic-usage, the ones with incantations, magic-tools and body-wise weak magicians...
"special" as a new way to use magic, like with hunter x hunter and Nen (it isnt really magic but i think it is possible to understand the comparison )
and "random" for the way how chars simply can do what they do and simply get it named with "magic", in fairy tail this is pretty much he whole power-system

The battle scene in this story is quite fun to read. Try and see it for yourself.

MC got the power from ex-dragon king ,so he become a human that can use dragon magic/powers. One of those powers is "the power of dragonslaying : Rune of bow" which he uses it to summon the weapon to attack or use it to strengthen (buff) witches' Leviathan - give them new form, new ability and new powerful attack. (The effect varies between each Leviathan).

I just read vol 1-2 and I don't feel the ''True Harem'' vibe yet, well its only 2 volumes in so I guess it makes sense...

After Luna officially join the harem.

Also take note, those pics come from volume 7. It take some time for character development before go to "True Harem" route.

Thats rather surprising then, since she is the first girl introduced. Interesting that the author decided to go counter to the norm. Seems there +1 reason for me to read this series.

To be fair, she's still training under Pres. M's tutelage, aka the ALMIGHTY JANITOR!
And she makes up for it in battles.

When compare her with other girls..ahh..President M even said Asya has gone beyond help..even she get more screentime it won't help her either..

Yes she is. However, while author doesn't make it clear who is Hal no.1 girl, it's clear thay Asya is at the last place of his lists.

IMO, Hal girls rank is : Orihime = Hazumi >>> Luna >>> Asya. As battle partner ,he prefers : Asya = Luna >> Orihime = Hazumi

Hal also know other girls than those 4 (but they are minor characters) like Mutou-san and Funaki-san who are his classmate. They don't have novel illustrations, but you can see how they look like in the manga. He also get to know other witches in vol.5

By curiosity, what power has the rune of ring ? I don't believe it is intended to attack, it would be impracticable. Perhaps for the defense or the magic.
