A member of Church of Madoka on Facebook posted that the OST is scheduled to be released on May 25. But no official source was posted, so it could simply be a rumor.

You don't need any official source but the official source to prove the truth of that. OST 1 comes packaged with the second DVD/Blu-Ray, and has been noted as such on the website for some time.

A little bit of that hopeless feeling is lost in this version, but since it's the best we have (as far as I know; please prove me wrong? <_<) I'm hardly complaining.

Alas, chances are we won't get it until OST 2, and it's not even announced yet. Same for Octavia theme, a tearjerking piece at the end of ep 11, the desperate tune from ep 10 (timeline 4) and the epic song of hope from ep 12.

Btw, some people who have already heard the Drama CD mentioned there seems to be new music.

I cannot judge this until I get a copy of the translation.

2. Mata Ashita
This song...for some reason even as cute as it is...it makes me wanna cry. It has good rhythm for a bittersweet ending song. If this one was replaced instead of the Connect Op...I'd cry there and there. That's how beautiful this song is.

Whenever Kajiura makes heavy use of tubular bells and chorals, things are serious. And don't miss the change in the music at the END of the fight, when Homura was hit and immobilized. How the music then underlines Homura's change of feelings from frustration to fearful realization of her defeat, to her sinking feeling that this time she knows she can't endlessly continue to increase Madoka's burden with more iterations, and ultimately her giving up leading to her soul gem darkening in despair... this was masterful.

2 full OSTs for a 12-episode show. This fact alone should say enough.

Ah yes I forgot to mention that part, when Homura lost hope and finally gave in to despair, the music sent numbing chills throughout my body. Seeing Homura, a character who I empathized with and grew to care about, totally give up on everything made me bawl almost uncontrollably. For a second there, I almost thought we were going to lose her Luckily, Madoka intervened before she gave up completely

Alas, the"full" OSTs don't look as full as the usual stuff. At least Vol 1 has 13 tracks, and the estimated length is about 40 minutes or so. If Vol 2 is like that, too, they will sum up to a one-CD OST of 20 tracks, pretty much the standard for one-cour shows. I guess if it weren't for Sony selling these CDs bundled, there would be no point in splitting the OST in the first place.
Which doesn't prevent me from considering this one of Kajiura's best works.
