Amanets Amentes also tone down the blood and gore, in both graphic and writing. (Especially when SChreiber is around)

Thank you for the detailed reply. I haven't actually read anything yet - I asked my question mainly to determine which version I should start with.

I'm starting to think I should just get both and be done with it.

What. The. Fuck.

Anyway, speaking of toning down the gore scenes of Schreiber, I was actually expecting the swing Anna around as club bloodbath in the PSP and then found it non-existant....

You should check out the previous Valentine and White Day special of Dies Irae version too.

Can't be more insane than the one where Theresia-senpai ends up like someone ultra high on something really strong.

I'm not out of my busy period yet, but being the chronic procrastinator that I am, I ended up playing a bit of DI. Really just a bit, I've only managed up to the title screen

A bit of my impression:
Spoiler:

Looking forward to continue reading this soon.

It is a very traditional way for referring to your retainers in ancient era of Japan, use the same kanji for "Kyou" = Lord/Sir. And don't worry, you will get used soon with that

Considering Kemono-dono uses "kei" all the time.

Even to Cogliostro....

As for the beast thingy...I think it's also partly referring to Reinhard Heydrich's "Blond Beast" moniker

It's pretty much telling you that Masada's writing is pretty unique and can be easily distinguished from his writing style and use of Kanjis.

I started reading Rise and Fall of the Third Reich after finishing the PC version of AA. Not that I went into the game completely clueless about European history, but my WWII knowledge needed some serious brushing up. I find that I have to think of Masada!Heydrich as a completely and totally separate entity from the historical figure in order to keep from getting too disturbed by the story's weird relationship with the (obviously horrific) reality of everything going on back then.

It's very obviously specific difference....would the real Heydrich have the desire of "I love all" leading to a Valhalla where nothing dies permanently? Kemono-dono is way better than that

It was actually mentioned in the game during Ren's flashback of Marie's origin. Cogliostro was there when she was on Guillotine.

Right, I managed to finish chapter 1 in my procrastination streaks.

I think I misread something somewhere, or was that shady priest supposed to be the current incarnation of the guy beside Kemono in the prologue?
