i have a nvidia geforce4 440 agp graphics card. I recently was getting a problem with nview; the clone mode was grayed out. This was working before I shut down the computer with the cable still attached to the tv, which disabled the clone mode. I was unable to come up with a solution from the forum and the internet.
Anyway my solution was to
My nview problem was fixed by going to display properties – settings – advanced – GE FORCE4 440 tab – additional properties – desktop utilities – enable desktop manager.

I had already configured the desktop manager and was able to enable nview from there, re-enabling the clone mode.
