I also agree that Teddie replacing Igor is ridiculous. Not that I don't like Teddie, but the characters just don't fit. I wouldn't mind if they have the other people of Velvet Room replacing him, but the thought that Teddie has ascended into the ranks of Velvet Room people just boggles my mind.

Well, yes and no.
Atlus were teasing something being announced during the large count down stream of 72 hours up to the event. Something along the lines of: "Will something happen during the live countdown? what will be announced at the event?" |

And Hold makes it feel even more random, lol. I'm curious about what'll happen from now on, now that Atlus has been bought by Sega. I think it was the best choice they had, actually. At least, people would be complaining way more if it had been bought by Capcom, or Nintendo. Also it's interesting seeing how Sega ended up making a crossover project with Nintendo now (SMT x Fire Emblem). It's strange how it seems Atlus has slowed down and is releasing so few games nowadays, at least for consoles. And even for PSP, Vita and 3DS, they seem to be making remakes for the most part. There were some 5 Shin Megami Tensei titles for the PS2 (2 Nocturnes, 2 Personas, 1 Devil Summoner... or something like that). But now for PS3, there was only Catherine... It's like the focus for jRPGs has totally shifted to handhelds. |
