Just read some chapters.
I....um....what is this? The MC is ok with dying and being eaten It's kinda bizarre how he is calm about this. I guess Japan still has lots of imagination. Props to the author

The author's definitely going indepth into Norse myth here - their myth says Sæhrímnir is a creature that is killed, cooked and eaten every night by the Norse pantheon and the einherjar warriors mentioned in the LN.
The cook of the gods, Andhrímnir, is responsible for slaughtering and preparing Sæhrímnir in the cauldron Eldhrímnir. After Sæhrímnir is eaten, the beast is brought back to life again to provide food for the next day. Some translations of Norse texts state the creature's a boar, although this is still a topic of debate amongst scholars. |
