Yes, I have a bias against dreadful mangas being turned into most likely even more dreadful animes. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has read any of this manga that thinks turning it into an anime is just a god-awful idea. I might, however, be one of the few nay-sayers who has stuck it out all the way to the end of the manga.

Well, that was quite an open ending, lol. Went by fast.
I'm still going with them knowing they like each other and keeping it subtle (suuuper subtle) Not what I wanted but I'll take it if that's the ending.

IMO, everything seem to suggest that Shouko will move in to live(work) with Ishida anyway....

The ending is left up to interpretation to the reader. Which most of us interpreted

The door they opened was actually a chapel to get married. The door is also a metaphor. They both went through the door blushing and holding hands. If you don't get it, the door being opened is the starting of the future that Shouya and Shouko will share.

So, is only implied, but is there (I for one believe that it will happen, and that thought will let me sleep like a baby at night). I seriously hope that the anime adaptation is a pragmatic one and cuts some bullshit that started to deviate from the main plot in the final stretch of the manga (that prevented it from being great and let it a merely good)...

Well considering the 2 MCs' characters it's hard to imagine they'd hook up after only 2 years. Inconclusive it may seem, it's not unexpected.

The mangaka did great with her debut. Looking forward to her next work.

I think it was the right move though. I can't see it fitting if he straight up said it and better to imply it like that. I just wish the chapter was longer!
