Runway de Waratte (Smile at the Runway)
It looks like the manga Runway de Waratte (Smile at the Runway), for likely an anime adaptation. Plot Quote:

I wasn't expecting much from this premiere at first, but that was pretty good. Chiyuki and Ikuto are both characters I can easily see myself getting invested in and I'm already looking forward to more from them.

I really enjoyed this premier. Both leads are likeable, charming, and funny in their own right and are trying to overcome adversity and achieve their dream in the most endearing way possible. I'm eager to see them both succeed (and maybe get together) .
I guess I never really thought about how important height is to a model, to the point where even someone as obviously attractive as Chiyuki wouldn't cut it as a major pro because of her height. I guess it's all about that presence while wearing clothes . Isn't part of the point of heels for women to kind of "cheat" with their height? Although maybe not to that extent. I guess there's a bunch of other style and fashion reasons for it . I thought Chiyuki would have gotten her blonde hair from her mom, but it turns out her dad is blonde. I wonder if Chiyuki's mom was a model, if she's even around, or if she's just a housewife... I wonder what Ikuto's sister meant by him being like their mom? Sacrificing his own dreams to take care of the family ? Chiykui is quite a looker, but she did look absolutely stunning in that blue outfit . I love how Chiyuki claims her dad's company produced an original dress that didn't exist. At least it landed Ikuto a job .

I thought this was really good.
I wasn't really interested in it at first but decided to take a look as I had some free time available and was quite blown away by the story so far. I am definitely going to continue to watch this.

The Opening is pretty nice and feels like a good fit for this kind of series, while also showing off the cast and our two leads working towards their dream .
It figures Ikuto couldn't get a job with Chiyuki's dad's company since he's still a high schooler and only self-taught. As good as he is, he still needs professional experience, learning, and to, y'know, not be in high school . Chiyuki is a little prickly and prideful, but she has a good heart and is aware of her own faults . I wasn't expecting to see Junichi Suwabe in a dress again, but Yanagida is no Mrs. Hudson . I thought the assistant would at least do Ikuto the honor of not calling him "bob," but she was admittedly running on fumes . Modeling is definitely not a profession for the modest. Chiyuki even had to apologize for still wearing her bra when she came in at the last minute .

I didn't enjoy Ep1 that much cause I felt that it was a little too... optimistic? Ikuto getting a job offer and stuff.
And then when that fantasy came crashing down in Ep2 and they were severely reprimanded by the adults in the room, I was like "whoa, I totally didn't expect this." At the end it's still a positive-vibes shonen series, so things were nicely wrapped up with a lot of 'coincidences' that give our protagonist their chance to shine, but I really liked the harshness brought by the older members of the cast.
