Get the Prime version if you can. It's nice if you have good aim to use it.

"The Latron Prime blueprint can be obtained by completing Void Key Exterminate and Raid missions."

Erm yeah... That might take awhile

So I just got a mod called [Metal Auger] that is a rare plus require 10 points, so I know something's up with it.

Checking the wikia it says that it "allows non-bolt weapons to puncture targets and solid objects to the depth listed". That being said, how useful is it really?

It's pretty useless. Rank 1 allows you to shoot through Grineer Lancer's shield and maximum rank allows your bullet to pierce through target however the penetration power reduction is cumulative which means your bullet will stop after reaching it's maximum amount of armor penetration.

Sounds alright on paper but really pathetic in actual gameplay especially with the mod point required.

Eh, what it lets you do is shoot corpus crewmen through their heads, which makes for faster killing.

eh, you only really need one copy anyways. Unless you're building something that needs 2.

It actually requires 3, as you need 2 boltos blueprints to build 2 separate boltos and then the akbolto blueprint to put the two together.

You'll also need 2 standard pistols to craft the 2 boltos as well.

Yeah, I was just caught offguard by the consumption of the Bolto blueprint.

I kinda like this weapon- Feels powerful for some reason heh, and the reload speed is fast.

think of it as a freaking stake launcher. Also, unless they patch it, Boltor and Bolto/Akbolto along with Bows are the only things that can bypass Sargas Ruk(Saturn Boss, drops Orokin Cells and Ember Parts)

I use them at the moment and they are certainly a step up from the lato's especially when you fit mods to increase damage, fire rate and mag capacity.

Nailing stuff to walls is pretty fun too.

Oh yeah whats up with that boss? He's such a ammo soaking dick >_<

I heard he has a reflect damage or something? I just hide at a distance like a bitch and take pot shots at it and conserve ammo when the bubble is up.

I don't have increased fire rate though ^^

Btw how good is increase critc rate in this game? For melee it seem too little but for rifle with high fire rate it might mean something....?

Holy shit, my Volt dual wielding boltos look so badass !

It's a shame he's slower than Loki... Which doesn't make sense cause he has less armor...>_>

Maybe I should get the Orthos next...

Crit isn't very good outside of using it on specialized weapon like Grakata. You'll want +dmg and multishot which gives consistent dmg increase that scales with elemental dmg mod.

As for Sargas Ruk, never really found him to be anymore bullet sponge than other bosses. The bullet bubble is pretty annoying if you soloing him but other than that, you probably just need more dmg on your weapon.

The idea for Sargas Ruk is that he puts a version of bullet attractor on you, only it reflects your own shots, so it's something of a reverse thorns aura.

Soooo I just started the game a few nights ago. Right now I've leveled my Excalibur to Level 8, I think.

So far, I'm finding things to be okay enough... the starter Assault Rifle is kinda weak, with a relatively low rate of fire, but that's compensated for by being able to hold down the trigger and walk fire into heads. Still kinda feeling my way through. The guns and all tend to be kinda expensive though T_T

Most of the good weapons take a while to get to.

A good early one to aim for is the Boltor, as it is a solid all around Rifle with innate armor ignore, which is very important when you starting getting to higher level enemies. As it is though, the Braton (not the starter one) is a good first buy.
