Welcome to the weekly manga chapter discussion thread. This thread is created early to discuss spoilers and speculation about the upcoming chapter.

As per the forums rules, please don't ask for or mention about where to download the (licensed) manga. Also remember not to post or link to any translations of the manga, since this is illegal as well. Posting a synopses or summary is fine (and welcome) but please do not discuss scans, raws, translation groups, etc.

Remember that the manga is licensed, do not post significant part of the chapters. This stands for pictures and direct translations. Summaries are ok, crops of pictures are ok as well if you want to illustrate your point but this is it.

It's Nja. Cover page is Naruto and the spine of the chapter is of Naruto and Kakashi

I wasn't able to see any movie info or the inside of it, but there's some card illustrations-I think- enclosed

Samui and her team join up with Raikage, and- having followed them- Naruto and co. go appeal to the Raikage

Naruto is prostrating himself (!) on the ground with his head to the floor saying, "Please forgive Sasuke"

Raikage: "A shinobi shouldn't be bowing his head so easily as that"

With Raikage turning out not to grant pardon, Yamato cuts into the conversation

Yamato: "Our side has our own bone to pick with you; the troubling matter of the Hyuuga Hiashi issue and what to do about it", and he goes on about that

*Not going as enemies, it's left at that and off to the meeting grounds (the last expressions they made were pretty meaningful)*

*[trans note: Nja is being purposely vague here]

Sai: "I can't just stay still and do nothing", and calling Sakura, they go to head to Naruto perhaps?

Sasuke and co. decide to take out Danzou on the return back from the conference

Sasuke, wanting to know just who Danzou is, goes with Zetsu to confirm his identity

but the moment that Zetsu tells him, "He's Danzou," there's a close-up of Sasuke's eyes with the Sharingan

The last part we see is the 5 Kages showing their faces just before the start of the conference.

Taka is shining again ... Sasuke is leaving them behind again just like when he went to Itachi (even though he said he wanted to attack Danzou on his way back, why would he infiltrate the village last chapter if he didn't want to attack Danzou there)

Well, I assume the situation will soon be out of hands and Taka will join the fray, because Suigetsu has to meet Choujiro and Naruto has to meet Sasuke for a lot of reasons (including learning Bee is still alive)

Also, I think it hints there will be more to the Hyuuga backstory. I think the guy who got killed while kidnapping wasn't acting on the Raikage order, but was manipulated by Danzou / Madara to create some more chaos. I thought the first mention of the Hyuuga by the Raikage was weird as he really seemed to consider him as a criminal while he should know he was simply protecting his daughter.

I am glad to see Sakura will play a role in this arc after all.
It's pathetic everyone leaves the village without even thinking about Tsunade. If I was in Roots, first thing I would do would be to get rid of her. She would only be in Danzou's way if she ever woke up. But I guess it means Kishi doesn't intend to play that card. There won't be a civil war after all.

Hopefully with this chapter a lot of the crack that's been going around will stop...what is the kage's meeting supposed to be about again?

There's probably going to be another run in with Sasuke and Naruto here...than Sasuke probably will mention something like..."Naruto you've gotten stronger etc." and Naruto will get all happy and what not...prolly not this chapter but its coming soon enough...

the ramen shop guy is danzou, but rly would zetsu just let sasuke know who danzou is if he rly is madara just like that? not unless it played into madaras plan somehow, perhaps to enrage and make sasuke sensless so he provised some major carnage at the summit - this is all assuming danzou is madara ofc - though i dont see who else could fit the bill now

I'm really glad Raikage's not letting Sasuke off the hook despite Naruto's grovelling. Starting to miss the old "in your face" Naruto. Diplomat Naruto is more like Doormat Naruto.

But the revisiting of the Hyuuga incident seems like it's going to be pretty interesting. I like Rahan's theory that the whole incident may have been a scheme by Danzou. The guy's entire life has been one big conspiracy it seems.

I think he's going just to check out who Danzou is, then go back and set up the ambush. Not attacking just yet...not with all the Kage around.

Zetsu's not revealing Danzou's "secret identity", he's just pointing out to Sasuke who Danzou is, since Sasuke's never seen Danzou before.

That's what he does this chapter, but last chapter's cliffhanger was about Sasuke infiltrating the village through the least guarded ways.
Why would he even bother to risk being seen and all if he just wanted to ambush Danzou on his way back ? Getting a glimpse of Danzou's face is not a good enough reason since Zetsu could have ID Danzou on his way back too.

Also, either Sasuke developped some leet stealth skills (he managed to get in sight of Danzou in a well guarded village) or Zetsu shared his "invisibility cloak" or the sharingan stole the last unique property of the Byakugan (even though it stopped being unique once Zetsu got it) : long range vision.

mmm, sounds interesting. It sounds like they came across Danzou and Sasuke is having a gander at him with his sharingan

My guess is that he told Juugo to have animals find the least guarded path because that would be the easiest way to go scouting undetected, not because he was planning to infiltrate the meeting hall. Getting a good glimpse of Danzou before the attack maybe isn't completely necessary but it's not completely reckless either. It also makes sense to see what kind of guards Danzou's traveling with.

The strongest ninja is a blonde haired boy with an orange and black jumpsuit, stealth is not really their forte. Only ANBU and Akatsuki are real ninjas

How about pre-Itachi's death Akatsuki because they were able to sneak into villages kill off their guards and they were mostly unalerted by it.

Jiraiya was a really tall asian guy with long white hair wearing fishnet over his body with a massive scroll on his back. Yet, he was able to use his leet frog skills to infiltrate the Rain Village.

Naruto just sucks at being sneaky.

Well, not exactly. Naruto surprised Pain when his clones were transformed into rocks... I think Naruto has the possibility to sneak as he has already proven in the preliminaries when he created clones that looked like his teammates. Isn't this supposed to be sneaking aswell? He let his teammates disappear without the enemy noticing it. Up to now, there's just been no situation that required him to sneak.

I have to say, right off the bat, this chapter seems fairly boring. A third or more of the spoiler has Naruto simply groveling and whinning, rather than trying to construct some sort of logical argument concerning Sasuke's capture (Naruto is kind of reminding me of Gon back during the Hunter exam where he was hopelessly outmatched, but since his opponent refused to kill him, and Gon never lost consciousness, the opponent simply gave up; in other words, Naruto's plan of action seems to be to annoy everyone so much they have to agree with him just to shut him up).

To be fair, Jiraiya was almost instantly detected by Pain, so the only people he confused were the slack-jawed yokels that seemingly make up Ame's forces (addmittedly, the 2 shinobi he captured were only genin).

In reality, the majority of the characters in the series suck at being sneaky. So far, only Orochimaru and Zetsu can really be said to be infiltration specialist (in so far as we have seen them infiltrate places with relative ease and stay undetected).

Unless the other villages have stories concerning Uchihas, I doubt anyone will care that much about the Raikage's grievances concerning Sasuke (that matter is purely between Kumo and Konoha). Rather, they are gathered to discuss the Akatsuki threat, and whether they should expect the Bijuu to be used as weapons, etc.

Eh... what did Zetsu mean? That he is Danzou or Madara? Or someone else?
