(L) Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora

Episode 04 was a journey from start to finish of emotion. A lot more time is taken to work on Kuu & Kyoshiro's relationship with one another, and yes - just like i thought, the secret behind Kyoshiro's brother (Kuu's prince) is revealed, its not a very happy tale, i'll tell you that. ;__;

I'll give a much better review after watching again later tonight, though i can say at this point that Kuu is seriously rushing to the top of my favourite female character list - and also, Kyoshiro could turn any man gay with those smiles. <3

Next episode, time for a fun date.. though one part of the preview is just Kannazuki no Miko all over. :3

I've been dying to watch episode 4, the second I finished episode 3. Even more so after reading all these spoilers. I get raws from SaiyaMan, but they don't have episode 4 listed yet. The only other source I could find that has it is downloading at like 1-3 kb/s... ;_; *dies*

But it does make sense. If you hate one, odds are you're going to hate the others. That's prob why he doesn't eat her food. He hates her guts but can't really tell her. He's using her for his own ends and intends to kill her off after the rest are dead. Bad boy!

So how about another alternate for the sword scene in the OP....

In a homicidal rage, Kyoshiro tries to kill Kuu....

Kuu: wtf?!!!
Kyoshiro: (as tears run down his cheeks..) I hate you all for what happened to my brother You understand, right?
Kuu: Hell no, you (insert synonym for rectum here)!
Kuu summons her mecha and uses a combo attack of Absolute Movement and Absolute Destruction to totally obliterate him.
Setsuna: Kuu, wasn't that a little excessive?
Kuu: No! People that stupid shouldn't leave any remnants of their genes to contaminate the population. Let's go Setsuna! I hear that his bro is a good kisser.

After being cast down by Tarurotte the cat zettai tenshi, Kuu awakes to find herself in a long-ruined school with an injured Kyoushiro. She finds water. She rips her dress to make bandages for his arm. Kuu's dreams and Kyoushiro's idea of his brother are the same: strong, kind, smiling, capable. It turns out that he died ten years earlier, during failed experiments regarding zettai tenshi, protecting the world from their effects, according to Kyoushiro.

On a trip back to get water, she is confronted by Tarurotte's sidekick Soujirou, who reaches toward her. She screams out, and Kyoushiro comes, with his sword. It turns out that Soujirou is also an elder brother of Kyoushiro's. But he regards zettai tenshi as pitiable creatures, and that's why he helps Tarurotte -- and his reaching toward Kuu was to help her, too. Kyoushiro, however, wants to destroy all zettai tenshi -- including Setsuna, eventually, after she has helped him destroy the others.

Setsuna and Tarurotte appear, fighting. Tarurotte is gradually winning. Kyoushiro shouts to Setsuna that she is a sword to destroy all zettai tenshi and even though she will fall, she must not fall before she has destroyed Tarurotte. Kuu is so upset by Kyoushiro's harsh words that she holds him and cries out for him to stop, that she doesn't like to see him this way. And somehow, it appears, her kindness ends the fight. She awakes with Kyoushiro and Setsuna and the white horse, among dark rocks somewhere.

Finally we see the end of the annealing of Kaon. Mika cuts her with her sword and implants a magic sign. Kaon awakes and looks at Himiko, who is standing beside Mika. I think Kaon has a look of love in her eyes.

Hmm, that would explain--to a degree--why Kyoshiro acts that way to Setsuna. Wow, now I feel even more sorry for her.

Spoiler for what I got out of the raw version of epi. 4:

Lots of bishie (and chibi bishie) goodness in this episode. But after watching the preview for epi. 5 it seems like Kaon pushed Himiko away from her. I wonder if it's because of Mika's "tempering", and the fact that she changed the tattoo/symbol on Kaon's arm to something else might be the cause. Maybe Mika has been planning all along to seperate Kaon and Himiko and that was why she was so upset in epi. 2, because she's ultra possesive of her "sword".

Finally got to watch episode 4!

Due to this mainly being a big information episode, not knowing what anyone was saying hurt more than usual. I felt really bad for Setsuna after the Kyoshiro ramble to his brother. Speaking of which, they look nothing alike. I wonder how Soujiro being his brother will play into this. (If it hasn't already) As for Kaon, wtf did Mika do to her? Erasing her AA tattoo and replacing it with some ugly symbol from her sword gave me the impression she was "controlling", "possessing" her or something of that nature.

Kaon had been beat to a pulp by that pillar, was laying on the floor in front of Mika in a heap, obviously beaten. Then suddenly she's able to push herself up at a snap from Mika? (which leads to my ideas on what that black symbols purpose is) There's been people saying on another forum that the symbol erased Himiko from Kaon's memories. I honestly never got the impression that happened, and would have never assumed that if I didn't know thats with they thought before I viewed the episode. Maybe Mika said it, I have no idea.

I do know there has to be some major importance with Kaon looking at Himiko right after whatever Mika did to her. Seeing Kaon push Himiko hard enough for her to fall in the preview for episode 5 gives me bad vibes as well. That seems very unlike Kaon, who as far as we know, is extremely protective of Himiko. I want to say she did that because either A) the memory extraction was true, B) she's simply trying to get Himiko not to follow, since whatever she was leaving to do is too dangerous, or C) realizes Mika will only continue to hurt her and Himiko by them being together, and is trying to distance herself for Himiko's sake? I really hope it's not the memory idea. *shakes fist*

We have Kuu with a beautiful set of angelic wings (just like Kurumi) in an experimental chamber before the explosion looking very peaceful....




and Kyoshiro was a non-altered human survivor post-explosion.

So, maybe Kuu is the parent of the other AAs. The experiment fragmented her into the other 4. So, if the saying about the offspring can not be stronger than the parent holds, then Kuu will be stronger than Kaon when she awakens... Or just like Kurumi, she's the ultimate kickass version.

Oh~ I didn't notice that. Thanks for posting the picture; that certainly makes things much more interesting and probably goes a long way in explaining why Kuu has dreams about her prince. So maybe the reincarnation theory might be true on some level.

Oh, shoujoai.com's forums... I still don't trust you~ Anyways, I doubt that's true. However, pushing Himiko that way hints towards it, but I argue Kaon is not weak enough to have her memories erased. Apparently, in the manga the AAs and their wielders are under "Absolute Contract", meaning that no matter what -- the sword must always protect their wielder. I'm guessing this is why Kaon doesn't do anything to or about Mika. (i.e, fleeing the school, attacking her, blah blah. It's pretty clear she's pissed with the Witch in episode two...) This also means that Setsuna can't leave Kyoshiro (If the anime is, which I AM betting it is, using this in the story/plot. Not that she would if she could, anyways).

okey kyoshiro is just a big whimp when he was unconcious lol ~ making strange painful sounds is not something you should be doing while unconcious ~ but well it seems that he was having a nightmare about his brother...kuu's mini skirt just got even more mini

Soujirou turning out to be kyoshiro's brother (another one) was quite shocking ~ basically the both share 2 different views on AA ~

Soujirou pitties them while kyoshiro despise them from the bottom of his heart...this is cause the brother he had always looked up to was killed (apparently) in an experiment involving the AAs...this is bad ~

when setsuna turns up and fights in order to protect both of them ~ kyoshiro uses words of hate and destruction in order to encourage setsuna to defeat neko chan ~ kuu couldnt stand this type of neglect from a master and tries to stop him...how dare kyoshiro!!! my hatred for him has been strengthened as he might be turning out to be the "anti-hero" type ~

the flashback to Kazuya shows an AA in a tank...im guessing thats Waruteishia (the one we saw at the end of ep 1)

and onto kaon...her symbol got erased now that is bad...my speculation is that AA has to make a contract to their masters inorder to recieve mana and that himiko was the contractor with kaon ~ but this act of replacing her symbol means that now mika has control over her actions ~ not good >.<

after a shaky start im beginning to like this series more and more now ^__^

I dunno, i depends just how open minded you can be, but i found the scene to be rather cute. It was already understandable that Kyoshiro looked upto & loved his brother, so a scene like that works perfectly.

The contract would explain a lot. I couldn't figure why Kaon would put up with Mika, but if that's the case, that definitely explains why. *shakes fist some more*

i predict that mika will have some gruesome ~ that is the only way i can feel better for whatever torture has recieved

I'm still having trouble swallowing that Sojiro is Kyoshiro's biological full brother. Sojiro doesn't look like the other 2 at all. I can understand step-brother.....

Which means to make this a family affair, maybe Mika is also a relative. Wouldn't that be interesting?

I'm rooting for Kaon to take out the catgirl.
