But for those who read the manga...we know Kaname is older...

But I wonder though, does a child vampire grow up in the same number of years as a human (in the VK world anyway)? If yes, then Yuuki would be the age she is now - a high schooler right? Since she was a kid ten years past and she aged to what we see now. So she's not hundreds of years old.

Kaname is a different matter altogether.

Indeed. Vampire's physical growth seems to be the same as human's, and it's logical since Yuki and Zero go to school normally and grow together with their classmates. But, considering Kaname's past and the possibility of

I don't see Yuki x Zero instead of - x Kaname (even in case of the latters possible decease) happening anytime soon. I'm trying my best not to be that biased but i always had the feeling Yuki saw just a brother, a family member in Zero for the most part while she ironically showed romantic feelings towards her real brother Kaname. Even though Zero shows some romantic interest in her i'm not even sure whether he doesn't think of her more as a friend than a lover since his main themes were his hate for vampires and his awakening of his vampiric self compared to Kaname whose actions after all were centered around being with or protecting yuki almost without exception

Although I told myself many time over that I stopped caring who Yuki ends up with, I just couldn't stop hoping it'll be Zero. This is so unlike Hino Matsuri's previous works where you could already anticipate the ending.

seriously i duno how off it is toward the english verions and chinese verions... yet i dun think yuuki will end up with either...

yuuki is really Kaname's sister... from what i learn in japanese and the chinese translations...

yuuki hate vampire but yet cuz of the incident that happen 10 years ago...
but also cant deny that she is a vampire itself...

zero hatred will go soft just for yuuki but at the end it is hard for him....

Not quite. Kaname is actually the most popular character in Vampire Knight. He won the last 2 official polls. And as far I know, Japanese fans are crazy over Kaname.

Spoiler for manga spoilers: But, I dunno, since the big revelation of the siblings thing, i kindda don't like Yuuki as I used to... For me is more like: short-haired Yuuki x Zero (human x human-born vampire) long-haired Yuuki x Kaname (pure blooded vampire x pure blooded vampire) I adored Kaname in the begining (being such a perfect vampire in almost every aspect, and I love vampires) and felt sympathy for Zero. But after a while (when he started accusing Zero of biting a girl and blaming him of things he knew Zero hadn't done) I started losing respect for him, and for Yuuki for having such a high opinion (and fangirlism) for him... I loved the Yuuki/Zero blood-sucking scenes!!!! They were so cute, passionate and hot, all in once!!! Thus, now I ship for Zero x Yuuki. But the short-haired one.
