Hello, I recently (Well not recently) got a new computer and just came in with a problem.

I was surfing the web (yahoo) and clicked on a website (subdesu), supposed safe one. but it took me to ad galore. In a panic I forced shutdown and restarted. (I did this several times in the past and it didn't affect me) But when I turned on the computer the McAfee won't restart/turn on.

I'm currently in a panic right now and am concerned of the problem.

Computer is pre-built with win7(64 I think)
McAfee came with it as a year trial.

Try this. It's free and works well.

Well currently I'm attempting to unistall it for another (Kaspersky). However its not allowing me to unistall it (Its bring up unable to connect to page.)

See if you can get to System Restore and revert back a while in time. I'm out of Windows help now, though; I mostly use Kubuntu Linux.

You can try using the McAfee Removal Tool.
